Tequila sounds cute or how about Cuervo since we're on the line of drinks. Or how about in honor of your boy getting kicked off the show, Heat...*sorry, I couldn't resist*....But please don't name him Your Majesty....

Shakes.

I like the name Shakes for a Chihuahua, cause they shake all the time.

All the ONE syllable names are great.!!!!!!
You need a ONE syllable name or you will have to nickname the beast.  Chihuahua...becomes CHI for example or Alexander becomes ALEX.  Like that.

Start with ONE syllable names
Taco is good
how about.....Pico

or Polo

or Paco

Paco is usually reserved for parrots.

Abbey suggests "Tuna."  She was unable to elaborate why it's a great/funny name for a small dog!

 Xipe -  Pronounced Shee-pay or Zee-pay

Perhaps the most mysterious of the Teotl gods; usually assumed to be the patron of springtime and planting, he also probably has sexual/fertility connotations. In the story he is identified as synonymous with the plant god group including Cinteotl (corn god), Xochipilli (Flower Prince) and Macuilxochitl* (Five-flower).

Good evening
How about "Amico" or "Amigo". The first is the Italian for male friend and the second
is Spanish for male friend.
Have you picked him out from a/the litter yet?
Teach him to use puppy pad in a litter box or shower stall. News papers work too and
are cheaper. They also absorb any odors.
