Another revelation for the AM group...

Title: "Revelations of Many - The Prelude"

Message:

In this life we all tend to get caught up with our own Dramas. Sometimes these Dramas are a direct cause for an occurrence, experience or it is a distraction that is evident which will temporarily detour or suspend your forward motion on the path that you are currently walking on in this life.

Many are still at the crossroads sorting through our emotions while taking the time out to make the best decision on which route they will take to continue to travel on during your journey. This is a good choice because it directs us towards the "right path" in the midst of it all.

While all of this is going on in your life, remember to take the time out to look around you and observe what is going on around you in this life. The reason you may want to do this is mainly because there could be something that you will miss, meaning there could be an answer to a question that you have been seeking an answer for, or a valuable suggestion that could assist you, or even a valuable message that can enrich your life with an added level of strength as you continue to walk on your journey in this life.

Stay Tuned to This Channel, there may be something contained within these messages (as well as other posters that are posting messages) that will not only fulfill and enrich the above but also help you plow through any barriers or roadblocks that you may be experiencing as a setback in this life. Do not fret, Do not worry, Do not let it consume you, as these minor setbacks shall pass as well.

There are other revelations that have been realized and these messages are under preparation in order to share them with you on your behalf.

Thanks for taking the time out to read this message. Take Care of YOU!

Don’t Give Up, Don’t Give in…Cause it is ALL within you to WIN!!!

Eldon,

Are you, by any chance, channeling the late Rev. Norman Vincent Peale?  Dale Carnegie?  Aimee Semple McPherson?

Just asking for clarification.

Here is my "Reader's Digest" summary (at the risk of oversimplifying):

  • Don't get too distracted by life's setbacks.  They're inevitable, but they do not have to derail you.
  • Keep your mind and senses open -- you never know who or where the next big idea/revelation in your life will come from.

Of course, it is possible that the next big idea/revelation could come from a setback.  You know, the whole "when life gives you lemons, make lemondade" philosophy.

Regards,

Henry

Many are still at the crossroads sorting through our emotions while taking the time out to make the best decision on which route they will take to continue to travel on during your journey. This is a good choice because it directs us towards the "right path" in the midst of it all.

How can you say this...we all have stood at some crossroad in our life and sorted out all the emotions and made a decision which according to you is the "right path"...how do you know this...everyone's life would be totally different if you took the "other" path.

There is no "right path" as you will never know where that other path would have led you.

I'm sure a lot of people have said "if I would have only made a different choice back then my life would be totally different".  We are who we are by our choices in life and the path we take, and no one has the "right path".  Sometimes we all get lucky and realize that we did make the right choice way back then....but you will never know...the other path would have made you a whole different person.

This is a very simple...simple....simple example...of a decision I made years ago after weighing out all the pros and cons...standing at that crossroad...with all the "drama" going on..

Am I going to have sex with him?

I said yes...I got HIV

Had I said no I would not be on this website today....

Revelation or Reverend Eldon?  There's a schizophrenic who stands on the street corner by my apartment shouting the same diatribe until the police haul him away on a 51/50, coincidence or just another path?  This poor schizo actually says, 'Fret not, fret not, fret ye not, be ye not fretful.'  Wow, it all makes sense now, stay tuned to this channel, film at 11:00, scary.

Hey Boo…

None of the above that you have listed.

Hey Henry…

You are right on point with your feedback as it is not oversimplifying. It is the truth.

Hey Dad1216…

No pun intended. However, if you are out shopping for a certain item, you will make a few comparisons in order to find out which purchase would be your best option right? The same applies to sorting through our emotions. If we choose the best option, then it would be considered the “right path” because it was the better choice. We all make decisions in this life each day. Based on these decisions, it points us in either direction on the paths for us to walk on.

You are right when it comes to deciding on which would be the “right path” to be chosen. I’d suppose the better way of stating it would be the “better path” to walk on. No pun intended. It simply a decision, and based on that decision, there is no certainty as to how it will turn out until you walk down the path that you decided to walk on.

Hey SFscruff…

Its Revelation not Reverend. The message is simple, do not be discouraged, there is more that life has to offer to all of us. Even you were not discouraged and you remained positive through it all to get to where you are now. I admire that you chose to take that stance with your life and moved forward. As I write to you, I encourage you to keep that positive outlook that you have on your life.

In the midst of it all, sometimes we do need to have that breath of reassurance.

"Don't Give Up, Don't Give In... Cause it is ALL within you to WIN!"

Darin,

I am not sure how productive you contempt and derision of Eldon continues to be.  You critique him as schizophrenic (senseless, repetitive noise), however your derogatory comments are just noise on top of noise (sorry Eldon you can be long worded though)...   :)  No one is making you buy his book, however you act like a fascist ready attack and burn all his writings...

It may be important to disagree with someone without telling them to shut-up or making them feel like an idiot.

There is a sense of democracy in the notion of a forum and I would not discourage you from participating, however your feelings toward Eldon are pretty transparent and only come across as mean spirited and contorted.  It may be important to move on from your grudge...

Eldon, I would be careful with the word truth.  It has a long problematic history...

To quote wikipedia's notion of Foucault's truth... "Truth, for Michel Foucault, is problematic when any attempt is made to see truth as an "objective" quality. He prefers not to use the term truth itself but "Regimes of Truth". In his historical investigations he found truth to be something that was itself a part of, or embedded within, a given power structure. Thus Foucault's view shares much in common with the concepts of Nietzsche. Truth for Foucault is also something that shifts through various episteme throughout history." -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth

Truth is bound up in the subject in a context of power.

Incidentally, Foucault died of AIDS in 1984 after contracting HIV from having too much fun in San Franscico.

Drew, you're right, I'm wrong.  My attacks are not productive.  I'm a fascist, ready to burn books -- now, wasn't that a productive criticism of me that you made.  My solution:  ignore.  You win and I'm officially tying myself to the stake so you may silence me.  And by the way, I didn't accuse Eldon of schizophrenia, please read my reply.  That was sweet of you to send him a link on how to write coherently and meaningfully on the internet.  Were you accusing him of something?  Rhetorical question there and I won't be viewing this thread again, so a response isn't necessary.

According to many the only "revelations" anyone should be paying attention to are contained in the new testament in the Book of Revelations lightly entitled ' The Apocalypse of John.' Merry Christmas!

To many biblical truth has been treated lightly while social and emotional matters have demanded attention. This closing hour does not allow for such carelessness neither does it allow a light treatment of the spirit of discernment. Those who do not have a firm and concious hold on biblical values and biblical truth will not be able to survive.

p.s. Matthew 12:42

...the Queen of the South shall rise up in judgement of this generation, and shall condemn it; for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Soloman, and behold, something greater than Soloman is here.

Hmm, I do not understand what that means really, Dach. If we do not follow the biblical text, we are lost? I do not follow Christianity, I am Pagan. I do not feel any one religion has all the answers or is the true religion but we all tend to choose one that works for us.

Wow we have more in common than I thought!!!

Although not a professed Pagan.  I cant seem to choose one.  I just know I dont like shit shoved in my head as truth when there is no proof for it.

Sorry for the Thread Jack Eldon....

Bingo, my point exactly. Read each post with scrutiny and your questions will be answered...to hear the wisdom of Soloman.

I hope this is not a hijacking, but an illumination, with more to be revealed later.

My dear fellow members, I feel that it is necessary to clarify a few points that have been given as feedback in this thread. With no malice towards none, let’s review together the meaning of a Revelation.

What is a Revelation?

There are (2) two types of Revelations. This is to include;

A Revelation is:

1:  An act of revealing to view or making known
2: Something that is revealed; especially: an enlightening or astonishing disclosure <shocking revelations>
3: A pleasant often enlightening surprise <her talent was a revelation>

A Self-Revelation is:

1: Revelation of one's own thoughts, feelings, and attitudes especially without deliberate intent.

Examples of Revelations:

Poetry (there are a number of posted threads with this, as well as Poets in the World; read them there are messages within them)

Music (there are a number of Music Artists in the World; Listen to their lyrics there is a message in them [Tori Amos, Celine Dion, Elton John, Journey, etc…])

Arts & Graphics (there are a number of these talented individuals in the World; take a trip to the museum and admire the beauty that is expressed in them. Thank you Teresa, Kelly and the others)

Movies (there are a number of talented directors in the World who have written awesome scripts [Gene Rodenberry, George Lucas, Stephen Spielberg, etc…])

With that said, when you look at the big picture in this life, these are gifts or talents that we all have which stems off of our creative energy of talent. In short, it is a form of an expression that can, may, or will assist an individual as they continue to walk on their own path in this life.

When these Revelations are realized and the individual has an awareness of them, these messages are attached with the burning desire to express and to share these Revelations with others. It goes right back to the reason that we are here and in each other’s lives. Thunter34 even dreamed it.

Hal…

The seven seals have not been open as of yet. This topic is not about religion, it is about an inner Revelation that was revealed in order to share this with the others as an EFFORT to possibly assist them as they continue to walk on their journey in this life.

In closing, Revelations can come to all of us in many different forms. These Revelations tend to reveal itself to us due to our inner person within which Asks, Seeks, and Knocks on Doors for he answers that are sought in this life. It all interacts with one another and the very answers are there for us to have.

Don’t Give Up, Don’t Give In…Cause It Is ALL Within You To WIN!!!”

Clear mind, clear thoughts, no booze, no weed. Healthy thinklng. May I suggest that you put on your favorite Music track and listen to the lyrics of the song and you will see why you are so attached to the song, its sending you a message to your within.

Yes it is, and not to be found in pop culture or pop psychology.

If you know the self as the lord of the chariot and the body as the reins of the chariot, know the intellect as the charioteer and the mind as the reins. The senses are the horses; the objects of sense the paths; the self associated with the body, the sense and the mind-is the enjoyer. He who has no understanding, whose mind is always unrestrained, his senses are out of control, as wicked horses are for a charioteer. He however, who has understanding, whose mind is always restrained, his senses are under control, as good horses are for a charioteer.

I saw that you posted a Poem in the Off Topic forum. It was a good read. As a suggestion, you may want to start a seperate thread in order to elaborate on the above.

Hey Hal...

I like the above about understanding. Understanding also brings balance to the within. Very interesting that you brought that up. In fact, as we both know, understanding is very empowering to an individual.

There seem to be a lot of people on here that are intelligent, and I think they like to debate things that are clearly not based on any scientific facts.  These are matters of the heart, and from where I stand,  any discussion of "the right way" or "the wrong way" can only be divisive.  I am not comfortable speaking up for this cause or that cause.  I can only communicate about my experience with organized religions, in particular the one that involves my sister and her belief that I will burn in the eternal fires of Hell.  Her beliefs do not bother me as much as the distance it has created between us.  I'm not suggesting that we all bury our intellects in the sand and sing around the campfire, but I do think it is important to not be intentionally hurtful to other people.  I see wisdom in all spiritual endeavors that involve a "self-revelation", whether it be through Jesus, Buddha, The Great Spirit, Mother Earth...etc.  To me, it's more about getting to that place where you are safe in silence, not so much how you get there.  Quite frankly, I'm not sure about who or what to believe in.  When I'm lucky to find peace or exhilaration, I am thankful.  In my mind and my heart, I say "thank you".  Trying to figure it all out is like trying to guess how many grains of sand are on the beach at sunset.  In the end, I'm just glad to be there.

Footnote:  If someone wants to start a post about darkness (wounds of the spirit) and its effect on "my personal living experience", then I will gladly give my opinion on that as well, as my living experience is not always about light and positive "self-revelation".  However, I choose to spend more time there.

Regarding post 15 (and a few others):  This Queen of the South is about ready to condemn this thread...cuz I am still confused by most of it.  And I thought I could hang with the best of 'em.  Phooey.

But since I'm here...I'll make a shameless plug for my latest additions to 'Cool Lyrics'!  They're both in a spiritual vein.  Maybe summa yunz might wanna check 'em out...see if they turn out to be revelatory in any way.

Gotcha!  And I didn't mean to highjack E's thread with my 'Lyrics' plug....just that he mentioned song lyrics and how it might be sending a message to my within.  So, if it seemed highjacked, I am officially handing it back.  Just thought it might be a tie-in.

Hey Brooks...

You have pointed out some very valid aspects in this discussion. However, this discussion is of a sharing nature and it is not directed towards Religion. Each and every person has their right to choose which path they wish to travel on in order to get to their destination.

Thomas...LOL!

Thunter34...It will be come clearer to you in time.

Hal...There are a number of variables that exist today.

If there is something that can, may or will be beneficial to others, its simply sharing with others.

Let's try to keep this in its proper context please. Its Good Will towards others.

Indeed many lyrics that have been written are cool. For some reason now I am thinking of the group Chicago. Intense.

The fact of the matter is some of us are suffering, some in fact are suffering greatly, and that reality is consistently minimized as being just a state of mind.

Finally a true revelation.......

I agree with this however I find that many who espouse the sort of new agey or positive thoughts ideology have absolutely no respect for any viewpoint that doesn't conform to their views.

If you doubt me, do some quick review of threads:

If someone writes a happy thoughts or simplistic approach to life thread and another disagrees with that view, the dissenter is usually accused of hijacking the author's thread or refusing to be happy or trying to take away from the meaning of the author's point.

While if someone writes a thread about depression, darkness or even just the non simplistic reality that sometimes life with this virus sucks, no one seems to blink an eye when people tell them that CAN'T feel that way, or that the author MUST change their viewpoint.

On this board I have witnessed time and again encouragement for those who minimize the reality of the darkness many on this board feel and a defensiveness when anyone dares to disagree that new age thoughts, practices and ideas that things will get better, or or you need to do is think a certain way - will change the course of a person's live.

The fact of the matter is some of us are suffering, some in fact are suffering greatly, and that reality is consistently minimized as being just a state of mind.

Great post Iggy!!

I hope that some of the posters that have been driven away by their opinions being minimized by this thinking come back to the forums, they are dearly missed.

That is a good post, Iggy.  For me, any revelatory value in a post comes from how much passion I feel behind it...good or bad in tone.  That's probably the main thing I love so very much about JK's writings (to use as an example).  His last blog wasn't perky by any stretch, but I found it just as inspiring and, well...revelatory as any other.  Same goes for Iggy's post, actually.  Though at an opposite pole from Eldon's, I found great value in it.

Hello My Fellow Members…

If you read what is here and do not skim over it, you will see the message that is contained within the writing.

Hello Iggy…

It is GOOD to hear from you as well as your voiced opinion on this topic. Based on your response, this goes right back to the reason for someone being in your life. I view this as there can be something learned from this situation. In fact, this is a good example of why many advisory boards exist in the world today. There purpose is to give information or take notice to and advise on the situation that is being discussed. By doing so, this will allow the situation to derive to a better result which goes right back to making choices in this life.

Now, I will disagree with you on your statement concerning the respect for any viewpoint that doesn’t conform to their views. With me as the author of these writings, I have an unconditional “open door” policy with myself to remain open and optimistic on any other views on the topic(s) being discussed. In fact, one of my main objectives is to work along with others here and with what they value. It goes right back to the purpose of having an advisory board. In fact, I even typed the above before looking at your response in your thread.

You see Iggy, I am sincere and honest. I am a real person. I feel good about my weaknesses and my strengths. I accept myself for who I am. I am working toward being even better. When a certain weakness is pointed out, I am all for absorbing any pertinent information that could assist me to make me even stronger as a person. I am not like others in this life who will get on the defense because of their hidden fears when some pertinent information is presented to me. If it can, may or will help me along the way as I walk on my journey in this life, then by all means it is totally accepted. If it is negative, I turn my head the other way because it will not help me but only hinder me along the way.

Yes, your response called for this response as I am on a realistic plane in this life. Now as far as the hijacking is concerned, you know as well as I know that it is relatively easy for a response to alter the nature of the topic being discussed as it will take it in a different direction. It is for the author to keep the topic on its course as it is being discussed. What is the sense of discussing something else that does not relate to the topic? In some cases, as Thunter34 had mentioned, another discussion may interact or tie into what is being discussed. In this case, I see no problem with that.

Now when it comes to Depression, which is a totally different ballgame in this life. You are dealing with a lot of “unknowns” and “hidden fears” with this particular topic. No one said that you CAN”T feel that way or MUST change your viewpoint or perspective when dealing with these emotions. In fact, it is normal to experience these emotions when you are faced with a situation in this life. Where it becomes unhealthy is when you “dwell” on the situation rather than “dealing” with the situation. With these (2) two characteristics, the “choice” or wanting to “dwell” or “deal” with the situation is up to the individual.

The only setback with “dwelling” is that it leads to further fears and inner anxieties which leads to obsessive thinking when a person is in a Depressive state-of-mind. So what I am saying here is that if I were to see you struggling with trying to reach an objective or goal and I knew that I could possibly be able to share something with you that can, may, or will help you to reach your objective or goal and not say anything to you, that would be totally selfish of me wouldn’t it? Fortunately, I do not carry such a mindset as this.

Now, as far as minimizing is concerned. This is how you perceive a word of encouragement being share with the others? True enough there are a number of variables that are concerned when there is a health issue that is being discussed. When a person’s health is threatened, yes, there is an automatic inner anxiety which is triggered because of this. However, it does not have to be a doom and gloom emotional effect with the individual.

When supporting an individual, you will want to do as much as you can to comfort them and to encourage them during their struggle with their situation. By a person making an effort to do so, this carries the person through their struggles and it goes a long way with them. With support, it is an effort that is taken on the supporter’s part in order to HELP keep that individual going or to hold up or serve as a foundation or prop for them when they need it the most in their life.

As with these new age thoughts, these are the same thoughts that brought our very country to where it is in the world today and many of our ancestors who utilized their creative thinking and they had positive thought patterns as well as being spiritually led. Instead of having a closed minded perspective during the beginning of our evolution, it was the majority which had an open minded perspective as they all HELPED and supported one another through the struggles that were made for all of us in this life.

In summary, things did get better, there was better technology, the light bulb was invented, the automobile was invented, the airplanes were invented and so on. What I am saying here is that with these very same positive thoughts and words of inspiration along with support, it has brought this very nation a long way as it is the same foundation of these positive thoughts and support of each other that will carry us into the future.

The decision lies within the individual if they choose to better themselves within. No one can change a person; the person must want to and be willing to change. In this very world that we all live in there are people which are struggling each day, this has not gone unrecognized, in fact, there are a number of different organizations that are supporting and HELPING the very needs of this World in order to gain a better result. Take a trip to Africa and give that little child a piece of bread and watch how that child’s state-of-mind and attitude changes because someone took the time out to HELP them and support them during their struggles. Thank God that the organizations that exist today are not selfish and just thinking about themselves.

The message is clear; there are millions of people who are struggling in this World today. It is up to US to take the initiative to reach out and to HELP them and to SUPPORT them in their struggles in this life. Who is going to take the stand?

Hey ACinKC…

No don’t jump off of the bridge, you might miss something. There are other options! LOL!

Hey Thunter34…

The church steeple is a little high don’t you think? LOL!

Hey Hal…

You are right on target. It is unfolding as we speak.

Hey Alex…

There is a lot of sensitivity involved; this is where our comfort and support can come in handy for a very good, uplifting, and empowering cause.

Hey Dad1216…

Your interaction is greatly appreciated. Perhaps there may be some constructive suggestions that can assist with the efforts of HELPING and supporting each other.

Hey Thunter34…

There is definitely great value out of this. Keep your eyes open and you will see what I am saying further down the road.

I'm with Thunter - I have no clue what this thread is about really.  Funny how its fuzzy logic attracts so many commenters though.  "The Revelations of many...the prelude" = the prelude to what? A prelude is a revelation of what is to come.  So we're having a discussion about revealing revelations about what is to be revealed?  In the words of charlie Brown, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGH!"

Eldon:

I think what Iggy is trying to say is you cannot keep assigning “scores” as to how people feel when they express themselves and you cannot always respond by steering what you perceive as negative thoughts and experiences into what you perceive as positive ones.  Sometimes, the best way to show genuine support is to simply listen and validate how the person is feeling.  And sometimes, you may think you are supporting someone by telling them how they should feel when in fact it causes the opposite effect.

You cannot really claim you have an “open door policy” to dissenting opinions and then in your next paragraph state that “it becomes unhealthy…when you ‘dwell’ on the situation rather than ‘dealing’ with the situation” because it already shows how fixed and inflexible your frame of mind is toward what Iggy just tried to express.  You already assume what a person “needs to do” rather than finding it out first.  Maybe someone who is saying they are having a very bad day just needs to get some reassurance from others that they can vent and that they are not alone without being told to “do something about it” and without being instructed how they should feel?

No Gerry...

Not at all. It is all a direct effort to support them with their situation. It is merely a suggestion to help them along the way. The response was written with a general context in mind. Its a reassured approach that it can be the opposite of negative thinking.

Good feedback though. Thanks.

No, razorbill, I have had no clear idea where we've all been going here...but I've been having loads of fun in the getting there anyway!

Perhaps a little pitstop on the way:

Well we know where we're going,
But we dont know where we've been.
And we know what we're knowing,
But we can't say what we've seen.
And we're not little children.
And we know what we want.
And the future is certain.
Give us time to work it out.

Eldon I have to agree this thread has me a little lost...but I'm sure it's as well-intentioned always and other will find the deeper meaning. :)

What I think gets lost, and am understanding from parts of this thread, is that one person's advice will not work for everyone and no one should think otherwise. Having a bad day vs. struggling with deep sadness and/or depression don't get fixed with the same set of rules in any way shape or form.

When I was in the dark throes of depression, if someone told me things would get better and to breathe and think happy thoughts and all that jazz I'd surely go tell them to go fuck themselves (yeah probably those exact words).

In hindsight it wasn't what I needed or wanted to hear. It wouldn't have done jack for me cause my state of mind was dark and it wasn't something I could will - it was beyond my control.

One thing depression taught me is how easy it is to see how others can't relate, and you want to just ring people by the neck and say "I feel worthless and nothing matters and don't minimize my feelings into some convenient sentence because you have NO clue the pain I am in."

Lost lots of friends who I considered family too. I was amazed at how the people I thought who would be the most compassionate and understanding turned out to be the first to run. Not all ran on their own. I sabotaged a lot of friendships too. In my heart I wanted them to stay, but I couldn't be that same friend to them in my mental state so I made them the bad guy and pushed them away and blamed them. It seemed easier.

In terms of the threads, my view is that no one mindset rules the roost -- you participate where you feel most comfortable and you gravitate to those threads that you connect to. Not all people want to be reminded of dark days, and not all people want to be awash in superfluous happy thoughts. Some want to hear struggles to relate, others can't and don't. Some are in the middle.

Everyone has needs and it is what it is. May not seem fair. May not seem right. But it's human nature.

This place is a big place and there's a place for everyone, IMHO.

Revelations of Many --- There IS A Reason
« Reply #64 on: December 20, 2006, 03:41:34 AM »

To My Dear Fellow Members:

There is a reason for someone whom enters into our lives. This reason can be either to “teach” you or to “assist” you as you continue to walk along your journey in this life. Through your experiences as well as others experiences, we can learn from each other in more ways than one. By doing so, this can, may, or will have a positive impact on your life.

In this life, there is a reason for ALL people, places, and things in our lives. In fact, there is a reason that the AM site was created (High 5’s to Peter!!!). If a list of reasons were to be written out, it would go on for pages and pages. However, there is a reason and it is good to know that reason so that we can increase our effort to support each other even more.

Let us keep this in mind… With support, it is an effort that is taken on the supporter’s part in order to HELP keep that individual going or to hold up or serve as a foundation or prop for them when they need it the most in their life.

I took some time out researching these topics that have been posted by our members on the forums. Listed below there are some posts that I have provided a link to for your reference. There IS a reason that these topics were created by other members of the forum.

There IS A Reason!

(High 5’s to Thunter34!!!)

To each and every fellow member of this site, there is a reason for each and every one of us to have joined the AM group. I will start this thread out with my reasons for joining the group.

Now that I have shared my reasons, I invite each and every one of you to share your reasons for joining the group with the other members of the forum.

Also, as you are typing and the urge hits you to share with what you want to see from the forums, then by all means…share this with us too! If you don’t tell us then how will we ever know?!

This is a reason for this sharing session topic so it should be fun and interactive.
Let us ALL join in together and share with each other!

Eldon:

With all due respect, we're going to ask that you keep your frequent "revelations" in one thread. I've merged this morning's (December 20) message  -- "Revelations of Many --- There IS A Reason" -- with this thread.

Would you mind posting these daily affirmations in this thread in the future?

Thanks Eldon!

Actually, I think I may have just had a (oh, God- I'm gonna have to say it...) revelation about this whole thing-  thread 1 and the intended thread 2.

But you know what?  You'll just have to wait til later for me to tell you what I think it is.

In fact, I may just have to start a separate thread...Dunno.  That will also come to be revealed.

And, Eldon:  If I get even close, I insist on a new hand gesture just for me.  No handshakes, no High-Fives...

(And Philly267, ACinKC and Dachshund:  You can just go ahead and put your hands down right now!  No, that is not the new hand gesture I was thinking of!)

If I am close when I, um...reveal my interpretation of all this, I want to claim this...

... With no malice towards none, let’s review together the meaning of a Revelation.

Eldon, I'm sorry for being such a pedant but "no malice towards none" is a double negative, which in English makes your statement the equivalent of "with malice towards some or all."   It was probably a typo since I often make similar mistakes while trying to compose anything longer than 3 lines.

Hey ACinKC…

It’s GOOD to see that you need something GOOD first thing in the morning.  This is GOOD enough to have a reason to be GOOD.  All reasons have a GOOD side and a not so GOOD side.  For all reasons I will try to be GOOD and give a reason to your need to have that GOOD sensation.  For this reason I researched the reason of your need and a GOOD reason appeared.  This may not be as GOOD as the reason you need but my reason is to provide you with a GOOD reason

Dear Heretics, Pharisees, and assorted Sadducee's:

The secret to being a good comic comes with this realization..." I have mined every ounce of comedic gold that I possibly can from this subject." Ladies, that time has come. I know I speak for the majority of Aidsmeds when I plead, "for the love of all that is holy."

Hey, have you heard the one about the priest, the rabbi, and a???????????????

“My eyes and ears are open to listen to each and every one of you, there is something that can be learned HERE and it can, may, or will HELP us as we continue to walk on our journey in this life”

Hi Boo…

No it is not. I just wanted to clarify that I have no grudges or any spite against anyone here. Part of my purpose is to induce the cooperation from others by harmonizing any differences in the spirit of collective good will.

Hi Alex…

Laughter is GOOD for the soul within. It can cure many unknown “causes” of our emotions within us.

Hi ACinKC…

It is GOOD to hear from you as well as your interaction with infused humor as well. Don’t take it the wrong way, I love to get a GOOD laugh as it act as a consoling mechanism for our emotions. As for the mornings verse, there is so much that we can share with each other that will UPLIFT our spirits. I will take note to your suggestion and make this a part of my relating to you. A preacher? No. Just an ordinary man with a conviction to reach out and HELP others as they continue to walk on their journey in this life.

Hi Thunter34 (Tim)…

I am still awaiting for your interpretation to be posted within this thread. I DO admit that you ARE on-point where it comes to the pit stops and videos for the viewing.

Hi Emeraldize…

You are SPOT ON! Quote: “Thank you Tim for your unending bountiful resources and your willingness to share them with all of us.” Truly, truly, truly, this will carry each and everyone of us even further as we continue to walk on our journey in this life.

Hi Dad1216…

It is GOOD to hear from you and it is GOOD to have you interact with us and share your also valued input as well. As I address another one of your statements; however, it goes back to “choice”. If you feel this way about this kind of company in your house, then by all means you have that right to feel this way. In my house, happiness is always welcomed. In fact, it could be the very day when I need it the most.

Hey Tim…

Thank you for your clarification that was made to Dad1216. In-the-know.

Hey ACinKC…

I admire your sense of humor.

Hey RapidRod…

There is NO chemical substance involved here to alter the state-of-mind. Its good natural healthy thinking.

Hey ACinKC…

You are right, there is a reason that we all are here and are in this together.

Hey Tim…

You are right, it is another revelation. There is a reason that we are all here on this site.

Hey ACinKC…

You definitely have an admirable creative talent with your sense-of-humor. Just think if you were to focus on that hidden talent and magnify it 300%. I sense if you do that, move over George Castanza there is a new kid on the block! LOL!

Hey Tim…

Once again…You are SPOT ON. It is not. It is a very good clean example of AC’s hidden inner creative talent that is just awaiting to take it to a different level in this life!

My Dear Fellow Members…

Again, as I have shared with Boo; “Part of my purpose here is to induce the cooperation from others by harmonizing any differences in the spirit of collective good will.” This has nothing to do with your chosen religious beliefs. This has everything to do with joining together as a group to support each other and to share with one another.

Now, back to the question: “There is a reason for each and every one of us to have joined this site”. I have shared my reasons with you as a group, and I ask that you share your reasons as well. It can, may, or will HELP each and every one of us to support one another even more for our cause with HIV/AIDS.

Anticipation can be positive or a negative experience. We can look forward to something knowing that feelings of anxiety and nervousness are to be expected but the upcoming experience could be something wonderful and life changing. Or, we can look ahead with fear and dread which may lead to avoidance and as a result a missed opportunity.

Your positive constructive feedback is deeply appreciated.

Alright, Eldon….here it is:  a revelation of one.  Me.

Based on what you researched and put up here from previous threads, I think what you are attempting to do is build upon some foundations that were laid before. Other threads have asked, “What brought you here?” and variations of, “who and what inspires you here?”

You are now asking of us:   “Now that you are here…why?"

As in:

1.   What do you desire to get from being a part of the AM family?

2.   What do you think you can provide as a part of the AM family?

Or:  How do you think being a part of AM benefits you on a personal level, and how do you think your presence here can benefit others?

Am I close?  Do I get to keep my Jazz Hands? (No matter…I fully intend to keep them anyway!  If only for my efforts!  LOL )

I think it may still be too early for me on here to properly answer those questions for myself.  I do hope to gain more education about this rotten virus.  I hope to get the reassurance (oops…there’s that word!) of a support network, even if only “virtually”.  I hope to get a good dose of laughter, too.  Because I want to remind myself that happiness doesn’t have to come to an end with a positive diagnosis.  In between blood draws and opportunistic infections, rises in viral loads, and falling of CD4’s and even bank accounts, there can still be occasions for comraderie, belly laughs and maybe even a touch of flirtation and sexiness now and then.  All that taken together brings me hope.

Wait.  There you go…my answer:  I desire to get further hope from being here.  And I desire to help provide it, too.

Hey Tim...

I just came back from my intermission outside with the clear skies and I saw your post. YOU ARE SPOT ON!!! Yes! You ARE on the same page of the book, the same chapter of the book, the same paragraph of the book, the same sentence of the book, and even the same word of the book. Indeed you are very talented and I DO admire that that you have within YOU!

You DO get to keep your Jazz Hands. In fact, the guy in the pic is cute. LOL!

As for as your being here on the site, thank you for answering that question. A desire to get further hope and the desire to HELP provide it as well. With these characteristics, it WILL carry us a long way in this life.

Your participation with interaction is deeply appreciated as we ALL continue to walk on our journey in this life. It ALL makes sense, same people, same place, same cause, same road...what are WE going to do? This too shall be revealed.

Can YOU FEEL the ENERGY here? Yes, you can. It is ALL unfolding right before us!

Take care of YOU!

This topic is about each and every one of us uniting together as a group in order to support each other, HELP each other, Encourage each other and to Share with each other with our same common cause...HIV/AIDS.

Same place, same people, same cause, and the same road that we are traveling on in this life.

Hey Marco23...

Deep down inside I have a conviction to HELP others and to make a difference in this life.

Hello My Fellow Members...

I trust that each and every one of you enjoyed your Christmas with the ones that you LOVE.

Hey ACinKC:

Let us ALL have COMPASSION towards one another---for we are ALL living in this World together with HIV/AIDS. Still, the pressures of everyday life can make us forget that which is important unless we are ALL mindful of it.

Let us ALL join together with a united effort as a group and support each other, share with each other, learn from each other, and work closely together for our very same common cause of HIV/AIDS.

As Lisa has mentioned as confirmation to this statement: "If WE do not take care of US, then who else will?" Really, Who will?

I wish a very Happy Holiday to each and every one of you!

Hello My Fellow Members...

This is a reminder to ALL of us to recognize the path of our personal development within ourselves and at the stage upon that path where we find ourselves in order to energize our movement toward deeper self-realizations within us.

Through our deeper self-realizations, these realizations will bring more CLARITY to our lives and they will also give US a sense of direction in which we will continue to travel in on the path that we ALL are now currently on together in this life.

As these realizations take place you may want to keep notes of these realizations in your daily journal. As they are quite empowering to us as an individual and as a group. As it stands, we ALL have our "reasons" individually for being here on this site, and as a group and we are ALL here for the same cause of HIV/AIDS.

See, I hate when a thread has to get all complicated. Besides politics, religion is another one of those touchy subjects. I wouldn't consider the path I follow to be new agey since it has been here way before Christianity nor did I jump on the Charmed bandwagon. Even though I must give it props for atleast doing it's research before throwing things out there.

All I was saying in my previous post is that basically we pick what religion works for us. Um, Andy, did I hear you say you need some weed? You know you give good advice when you're sober maybe a joint might put you in a deeper mood.... ;)

Why were you diagnosed with HIV?

It is GOD’s calling on your life!

My personal testimony:
About one month ago I had a very alarming dream.  In my dream, I was attending my local church and my pastor approached me and shook his head as he told me with sympathy, “I’m sorry, but you have HIV and that is why your hair is falling out.”  The ironic thing was I was losing some hair in the back of my head in real life.  So when I woke up the next morning, I was very afraid.  I immediately scheduled an appointment for a free HIV test at the health clinic.  My appointment was set for a week from the day I called, meaning I had a whole week to think about the situation.  All kinds of things ran through my mind.  I finally decided after prayer and reading my bible that I needed to fast.

My thoughts were that I would fast for a positive or negative outcome.  I was fasting and praying.  For if I received a HIV negative result, I was thanking GOD for covering me all those years in spite of my irresponsible sexual practices OR if I received a HIV positive result, I was fasting for strength and I decided that a positive result would mean the fight against AIDS would be my calling in life.  That is, I should devote all my efforts to helping those who have HIV and to preventing the spread of HIV.

Walking into the clinic to get my results was a very tense moment.  As I sat down, I said a short prayer, “Well, GOD this is it.  Please strengthen me no matter what the result.  HIV will not conquer me and if this is my calling, I will answer your call.

The nurse handed me a small sheet of paper and explained that the result was…negative.  Whew, I thought, GOD has given me another chance.  I thanked GOD, the nurse and left the health clinic.

Then, about a week later, I attended an AIDS awareness meeting at my church.  The same pastor from my earlier dream challenged about 50 people who attended to step up and take action against AIDS.  I left the meeting feeling motivated, but I had no idea of where to start.

The next night, dream number two occurred and this is why I created this webpage.  For when I fasted and promised GOD that if I was HIV positive, I would fight against AIDS, I did not promise GOD that I would do anything if the result was HIV negative.

Who says that a diagnosis of HIV has to be a negative experience.  GOD can speak to all of us. He can perform miracles and he can make all things work together for the good.

Will you accept the calling?  Will you read GOD’s word to see how you can turn your situation into a positive situation?  GOD does not want you to blame anyone, be mad at anyone, be depressed or be discouraged.  You are not being punished.  Although you have been dealt a lemon in life, why not make lemonade?

Inspirational Scriptures

Prayer
Scripture:  James 5:14-16
Message:  If you are sick pray to the Lord for healing.  Faith shall save the sick.

Purpose
Scripture:  Romans 8:28-39
Message:  All things work together for good to them that love the Lord.

Helping Others
Scripture:  2 Kings 7:3-10
Message 1:  In those days, leprosy was defined as a chronic infectious disease that attacked the skin, peripheral nerves and mucous membranes. It was characterized by multiple lesions accompanied by sensory loss that began in the extremities (toes, fingertips). In many advanced cases, gangrene set in, causing parts of the body to "die" and become deformed.  Most victims were despised and kept in separate places (leper colonies, sanitariums).  Lepers were shunned and to have leprosy was a shameful thing.  Although, shunned by people, the lepers were not shunned by GOD.  GOD used the lepers in this scripture to discover that the army had left their camp.  Therefore, the people who were starving (a famine occurred) could get food from the abandoned camp.
Message 2:  Don’t be depressed in your situation and feel you are waiting to die.  Move forward.  Press on because you don’t know what GOD has for you or how your life can positively affect someone else’s life.

Healing
Scripture:  Acts 5:12-16
Message:  Believe in the Lord GOD.  Have faith that you can be healed.  Never underestimate the power of faith.

Scripture:  2 Kings 8:7-11
Message:  The king asked GOD, “Will I recover from this illness?”  Don’t be afraid to ask GOD questions, but be prepared for the answer.  Resolve within yourself, that you will live for GOD no matter what the answer is.  Your true request should be for GOD's will to be done in your life.

Repent
Scripture:  Daniel 9:4-19
Message:  Realize that we are all sinners.  We must repent to GOD and turn from our worldly ways.  GOD grants us forgiveness.  We must turn from our sins to GOD’s word.  He will lead the way.  GOD have mercy upon us.

Hey Thomas...

I was busy interpreting your dream to HELP you out with understanding what can, may or will be going on emotionally in your life.

I DO have a comment to the post that was made above. I will get to that in a moment. There are also other threads on this forum as well and I also need to address them and see what I can do that can, may or will HELP the others. So please hold on and I will respond to this.

Yes, I AM Supporting You!

Hello AW...

FIRST OF ALL, I believe that you have approached this the wrong way. There IS a WAY that you approach certain situations. I also see that you have made another post in this forum to another member's thread.

1. You joined this site with absolutely NO introduction of yourself.

2. You approached this the WRONG WAY as if it is some sort of Church Outreach effort that you are doing.

3. You are ALLOWING your inner anxiety to run away with Obsessive, scary thoughts and your actions.

4. Everyone has their own right to their chosen religion.

5. If you would have READ this entire thread, I have REPEATED myself over and over again that this does NOT have anything to do with an individual's choice of the religion.

6. Whether YOU realize it or not, your calling or your purpose from what you have described IS to make an effort to reach out and to HELP those whom have HIV/AIDS and to devote your efforts towards Awareness and Prevention in this life.

7. I have not doubt of your testimony, HOWEVER, again you have approached this the WRONG WAY.

This topic has NOTHING to do with an individual's choice of their religion.

8. Either you had a negative result from your HIV test or you are in denial about what the nurse told you.

9. It is GOOD that your church is involved in AIDS awareness and you all were asked to take on the challenge with HIV/AIDS. YOU yourself even had mentioned that YOU had NO IDEA where to start. WHEN you are in a situation like this, you ASK someone before making ANY moves that you are unsure of. This is WHY you are getting a response such as this. I will not minimize the situation here. I am going to speak the truth to you.

10. YOU CANNOT MAKE A BARGAIN WITH GOD!!! Either you choose to serve him according to his purpose or you do not. Period.

11. I do agree that HIV/AIDS does not have to be a negative experience at ALL. It is NOT gloom and doom here.

12. I am way ahead of you with making the Lemonade out of the Lemons. I stated that months ago earlier this year.

13. True enough the lepers were shunned by the people as it does relate to the HIV/AIDS Stigma in this World.

14. I DO agree with NOT being Depressed about this Medical condition. However,

15. You came to the site and made (2) two separate posts. In this post and in my colleague member's post. In fact, my colleague Thomas found the situation quite tempermental because you addressed this the WRONG WAY.

16. You provided your email address and your link to your website. This is CLEARLY an outreach effort on your part.

17. A WORD OF ADVICE for your future outreach effort.....You must get to know the (5) five W's...Who, What, When. Where. How, and WHY.

18. If you do not know then ASK somebody who is knowledgeable in this area.

I am quite disturbed as to HOW you approached this. After you read this, sit back and think about your actions out of being Zealous for the effort.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to HELP and to reach out to others in order to lend them a HELPING hand in this life. However, coming to the site and dropping scripture from the get go was not appropriate at ALL.

My suggestion to you would be to sit down with the group and address a plan of action in order to reach out to others in order to HELP them.

Once again, for the *** time...This topic does NOT have ANYTHING to do with religion whatsoever. Please, refrain from posting ANY religious content in this thread.

Thank you.

Now, to the AM group, we are ALL here for a reason. Until we are ALL on the same page, for the same cause, with the same effort, it does not make any sense to reveal what that reason is until we do so.

Let us ALL joining together and work together in unity for the common good of HIV/AIDS.

Stay tuned to this channel.

But as I read more and more Testaments according to Eldon (non religious testaments of course) I often find myself wondering, does he laugh?  Belly laugh?  what gets his laugh on?

Riddle me this Eldon, whats the funniest movie you have seen?  And what comedians do you like?

Sorry people, but I am feeling a bit Menckenish today.

"The world always makes the assumption that the exposure of an error is identical with the discovery of the truth - that error and truth are simply opposite. They are nothing of the sort. What the world turns to, when it has been cured of one error, is usually simply another error, and maybe one worse than the first one."

or in other words.... "imagine God as a bad comedian, and at once the world becomes explicable"

Inner Revelations - 4:42AM EST

Hello My Dear Fellow Members...

What IS The Reason For Us?

There are many reasons that we are ALL here together. If I were to share the entire list with you, it would be overwhelming to you. There is a lot that needs to be digested within each and every one of us. This is WHY it is all not shared at one given time.

The Top (5) Five Reasons Are:

1. Emotional Support - Overcoming our inner fears and anxieties
2. Understanding the other's situation
3. Communicating with feedback to them
4. Learning from the other's experience with HIV/AIDS
5. Sharing our experiences with others with HIV/AIDS

There IS a continued list for "What IS The Reason For Us?". However, it is the end of the year of 2006... Let us learn to Forgive one another and show Compassion towards one another.

We ALL have experienced many different aspects in our lives since the beginning of the year. With some of these experiences, it was meant for us to Learn something from them as well as to live through them. We ALL made it through. We emerged still in tact with ourselves. We have even become stronger as individuals.

Remember: Pull out the "positives" and throw away the "negatives" as these very same "positives" WILL assist you in the coming New Year of 2007.

Thank you for taking your time out to listen as well as your feedback of your suggestions which have been noted.

It is New Years Eve. Go out with your friends or loved ones and let your hair down and ENJOY yourself.

Please DO drink responsibly and watch out for the others whom are irresponsible. Be SAFE and take care of YOU!

Inner Revelations & Self-Realizations
HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR 2007 !!!

Hello My Fellow Members!

The clock has now turned to 12:00AM EST and it is now a New Year of 2007 here and in certain parts of the World. We ALL made it through last year and we are ALL still here together. There are many Positive changes that are in store for ALL of US in this Year of 2007!

Let us HELP one another, show compassion towards one another, forgive one another, and to reach beyond our comfort zone levels and make a difference in this life where we can.

Last year in 2006 as I was reorganizing, I stumbled across this AMAZING writting. I'd like to share this with you ALL from the bottom of my heart and from the depths of my soul.

Dreams can come true
if you take the time
to think about what you want in this life...
Get to know yourself
Find out who you are
Choose your goals carefully
Be honest with yourself
Don't become preoccupied with yourself
Or think about yourself so much
That you analyze every word and action
Find many interests and pursue them
Find out what is important to you
Find out what you are good at
Don't be afraid to make mistakes
Work hard to achieve successes
When things are not going right
Don't give up
Find courage inside yourself to remain strong
Give yourself freedom to try out new things
Don't be set in your ways that you can't grow
Always act in an ethical way
Laugh and have a good time
Form relationships with people you respect
Treat others as you want them to treat you
Be honest with people
Accept the truth
Speak the truth
Open yourself up to love
Don't be afraid of love
Remain close to your family
Take part in the beauty of nature
Be appreciative of all that you have
HELP those less fortunate than you
Try to make other lives happy
Work towards peace in the World
Create your own dreams
Live life to the fullest

Once again...

Happy New Year To You ALL In 2007!!!

This is just too tempting.  Played as the ball dropped...sry..

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

---

IMO?

God is dead.  We killed him with our own knives.  So now, it's kinda up to us.  Isn't that revelations?

Hey Grky...

You have every right to voice your opinion and I will not argue with you concerning it. However, as I have stated many times in the previous posts in this very thread, this does not have to do with the individual's chosen religon. Period. It is about us coming together as a group to HELP and support one another for the same cause of HIV/AIDS.

BTW - Welcome to the forums.

Feedback?

Clarifying The Concept Of Purpose

Disclaimer:

Please keep in mind that I am also an individual whom is Living With HIV/AIDS for the past (16) sixteen years, and (4) four months in this life. All of my efforts are for the common good for ALL of us whom are affected with HIV/AIDS. This is not a self-serving effort. All of these posts are not meant to single any one person out nor to offend anyone in any way shape or form. Each post is with a convicted attempt to HELP the individual. In this life, there have been many things that I have experienced personally and IF there is a slight possibility of what I have “learned” during these experiences that can, may or will HELP an individual, this is why I take my time out to share with others.

So what is going on here? Please follow what I have written below:

Eldon,

I'm sorry to be such a pest, but I tend to cringe every time I see an enormous project that obviously requires huge amounts of $$$.  So I would need one of your clarifications.  The basic one that comes to mind is how different would this undertaking be (since you mentioned possibly creating a charity, and also creating an advisory board) compared to the one you tried to spearhead 6 months ago (Charity Organization/Organization Fund Raising Project; Charity Advisory Board)?  Are you trying to take the lead in this undertaking or are you simply gathering ideas from others?  I have other questions, but if you can clarify this first one, that would be helpful.

Eldon,

I would suggest that if you are trying to start your own charity, you get your own website.

To clarify, I'm voicing my own opinion here, I am not speaking as a moderator.

Eldon, I AM speaking as a moderator here. I just want to caution you against doing any kind of fundraising here in the Forum.

If you proceed with establishing a foundation for the purposes you've designated, (or any purpose for that matter), it should not be in any way associated with this site nor should this site be used for same.

Any "business" related to same needs to be dealt with elsewhere.

Cheers,
