What can I say now about my life? Yeah Right it has been HELL!
« on: December 06, 2006, 04:36:02 PM »
Was diagnosed back in January 2005. Had to move back in with my folks for five months. That was rough as hell. Nearly died after the third month of my diagnose. Pulled through that with flying colors. Moved out of my parents house and moved beside of them what a bad mistake for my part to do on that, but we have to learn from our mistakes. Got my new puppy in May of that year he was my companion. Made it through the summer numbers went up from 1 to 70. Found this site and became a member in September of 2005. I have made many new family members since joining this site. Got to go to Nashville and have a gathering with 14 of my family members on here. It felt really good to finally get the chance to put a face besides of an aviator. Went to Montreal in August and had a wonderful time got to meet more family members. So if you ever get a chance to go to a gathering it does wonders for your soul.

Came back and got really depressed really thought I was never going to find someone to spend my life with until October of this year. That is when I meet Brad. Well moved to Kingsport, Tn got a place for us both to move in and call it our home finally. Today I can say that me and my mom are back on speaking terms and she is happy for me. One thing for sure having HIV and living with someone that is also HIV+ has its days. Well I can say had its Months. We have decided to just become friends as of today yeah things changed fast just overnight. HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Oh well life goes on. ???

Hey Jerry,

What can I say, a tall, good looking man like yourself single? I knew that wouldn't last.

I am really happy your life is turning around. The most telling statement of that is when you said it is time for you and Brad to start living your lives for yourselves, not for what makes others happy.

Keep it up, young man.

HUGS,

  Jerry,

It warms my heart to know the changes you have made in your life!  Keep moving forward and don't let the little worries in life get you down.

SORRY WE HAVE DECIDED TO JUST BE FRIENDS THIS DISEASE HAS GOTTEN THE BEST OF US. We will live in the same house together but with both of our mood swings we have just decided to become friends.

Hey Jerry.  Yes, I got the downward turn at the end about your now 'friend.'  It's rough dealing with hiv alone.  It's sometimes better being hiv positive with someone else, but if and when each of you is having problems at the same time and neither one of you can reach out with the right type or amount of support, it can create a real strain, on top of the strain of being hiv positive yourself.  Keep pulling!  I can hold out the hope that friendship may yet revert back to something more intimate, but am glad that you have each other.  Win

Hey Jerry,

It has been quite a journey that you have been on in this life. We all tend to have our own experiences that we go through for one reason or the other. In my eyes, it is taken as a learning experience that will prepare you for something even better in the future.

The main thing is to take care of YOU through it all.

Happy Holidays!

Hi Jerry, sorry to hear, but it may be the best thing for now. Having a good friend around is sometimes better than having a BF around!  And like Win said, once that pressure is off, things could turn around. Even if they don't, you have a good firend that you love.

Jerry, I have been following your life for about a year...  Celebrated, and cried with you...   Thats ok...  You put alot into one year of your life.  I know I could not have juggled all of that at the same time.   I am glad this is "Jerry's" time for a bit, a while - - or however long it takes...  You have a life ahead of you full of things you deserve...  Youll get em, you will....

Happy Holidays and Love

Spending the weekend with Lisa. My drive down here was ok until I got into a car accident and was hit in the pasenger side door. Thanks to the snow fall we had today that really did not help much matters. The good thing is that I'm ok the bad thing is the door will have to be replaced, the good thing it was not my fought and there was a policeman behind me when I was hit. Pictures to come soon. Later for now made it here at Lisa's at around 930pm.

Jerry, glad the accident was minor enough to let you get on with the weekend. Give Lisa a bug hug from me, and ask Lisa to give you a big hug from me too. Then just hug each other.  :D

Enjoy your time together

Jerry....

Life's hard.  We all know that.  And having HIV/AIDS with all its idiosyncrasies doesn't help.  But you're on a roll.  Keep going forward and you'll make it.  And don't look back.  You don't need to.  We'll never leave you.

Hugs all around

Jerry, i just love the way you have evolved this past year,
you've become so free and you dont take things lying down,
maybe it's hell but a hell of your own choosing is
better than someone else's (for example your parents'),

Jerry baby,

I don't recognise the shy tall boy I first met in Nashville. And great that is.
You have evolved to become a grown up , taking responsibilities and facing life with HIV.

Take it easy with Brad. Friendship is the first and most important thing in our life. When love is added, sure gives it another dimension. But someone in your life to share your moodswings with, is a thing to be cherished.

Jerry, what matters is that you have moved on with your life. That a "romance" hasn't gone as you had hoped, well, there's nothing new about that, even though it is painful and disappointing.

On the other hand to be under the same roof with someone you can call "friend," well that's pretty good anytime of the year.

It's good to enjoy what you have.

Cheers,
Andy Velez

You guys might hit it off "better" as friends, and like others said, "who knows" where that can lead. you both may want a second try at love and find it better and deeper, with the  both  of you more understanding, smarter or whatever than before.

I'm sorry everyone but things have just got out of hand and we have just decided to be good friends. Thanks for all the kind words that everyone has taken to say in this thread. He will have his life and I will have my life to live as we choose. So much has went on this week and sorry If I have started a thread that caused any problems for anyone. Also I wanted to start this out as an introduction to my new life but after Thursday that all changed for me. I am kind of drunk at the moment and sad and happy too. Just really needed to spend some time with Lisa and bring her spirits up. Just so much has happened to me since thursday I feel so down but she has really brought my spirits up.

Hey Jerry,

Change is good. You will get through this just as you did with the other experiences in this life. Give Lisa a big hug for me as well.

Happy Holidays!
