Dear Lis...That's really very sweet, it's the seemingly little things in life that are the most treasured and important...Your family, your health and a sanctuary that is home.

I hope you get your PJ's also and they are comfortable and warm.

A happy holiday season to you and yours Lis.

Hey Lis,

That's perfect, and beautiful, I wish I had half of what you have.  Make sure you get toasty warm in your new PJs.

Happy Holidays and much love.

I am happy with what I have too.
I have implicitly told those who asked what I want for Christmas to give me NOTHING. That would be the best gift of all...no stress and no knickknacks to deal with!

I am just not the shopping kind.  Did not get that particular gay gene.  I don't like rampant commercialism, and have a fashion sense requiring adult Garanimals.  It's just not for me.  Many years ago, my best friend Kay took me aside and told this to me:

My gift to you this year is that I am going to give you nothing.  In return, you don't have to run out and fight the crowds to get me anything, either.  If you like it, we can get each other the same thing next year, too.

I smiled,  I cried.  I told her (and I meant it):

It's just what I always wanted.  We have shared the same gift ever since.

I'm with Thunter- I can't cook, buy the right clothes, or decorate without taxing my very core. I can do plumbing , some electrical, and remodeling work.

I'm happy with all that I have, pretty much. When my family asks what I want, I tell them I don't need anything, and what I want , they can't afford! But I end up having to pick what store I want a gift card from. I send them checks. I've asked what the point of this is, and don't get a good response!

Christmas for the kids in the family is different. I have to shop for that, but only after their mom's tell me exactly what the items are, where they're located, and confirm the store has the stuff in stock!!

Merry Christmas, Lis!

EXACTLY!  I can feel myself fatigue almost immediately after I enter a mall.  My brain just gets tired and my eyes heavy.  I want a map DIRECTLY to the item I want.  In and out in minutes, thank you.  I want all those questions answered beforehand, too!

My mom always asks for that too.  I feel weird buying that for my mom.  So she gets slippers and flowers.
