My only experiences with LG have been crappy and that was with cell phones (Stuart's phone and my mom's).  I've always perceived them as super cheap Chinese junk.

As far as Toshiba goes, my parents had an awful time with their TV going dark after 5 years.  Then again, it wasn't plasma but it was disappointing.

Panasonic on the other hand - that's my brand.  I've had a projection TV from them that's still kicking after 15 years and numerous other products that have well outlasted their typical lifecycles.

Sorry, I don't have any specific advice on your purchase but these are my perceptions on the brands in general.

After doing a lot of shopping around the last few months, I just picked up a 27 inch Poloroid LCD.  I was a little hesitant because Poloroid is necesarily a brand you think of when you think about LCD.  However, the price was almost half of what the other brands were going for and had a few more features.  The picture is just as good if not better.  I picked it up at Circuit City.

Hey Jeff,

For my money, the best bet is the Samsung.  Best resolution I have seen out there.
