Medication/Viral Load Question
« on: August 26, 2014, 09:46:54 PM »
Hi everyone. I've been reading for a little over a year, but haven't actually posted before. I was hoping to get some feedback. I've been going to a doctor for the last year that is part of one of the local ASA, but I'm starting to question his judgment and am wondering if I should seek a second opinion from another doctor.

My boyfriend and I are both poz and we've been seeing the same doctor. We are both have under 50 viral loads as of the last labs, but he told us both today that if the numbers weren't undetectable next time that he was going to switch out our medicines (currently on Stribild).

I feel like the medicine is doing a good job and saw where most people see variations in their lab tests, but this doctor said that our virus is out of control right now. He had both my partner and I do the Genotype this time, but since we have a viral load of under 500, it said that it cannot run that lab. Let me know your opinion. I'm not certain if I should continue with this doctor or not. Thank you all.

04/07/14: 239/ NA
