  • Hi...
apparently I am well
« on: October 03, 2014, 10:50:29 AM »
I am seeing a psychiatrist. He asked what he can help me with. He says I am only responding to what I see as negative. That my husband should learn to compromise more often.
My husband is compromising. In fact he does things around the house while I study. Most nights he does dishes, cleans up after dinner, and sometimes cooks dinner. It is cute because our daughter helps him in the kitchen. They have their little discussions about what they will each make.
My daughter chooses to stay home with us. She doesn't like to go out with kids from her school. She is on her laptop, reading, cooking, or doing her hobbies. She likes to wood burn designs into wood. She is getting good. I am especially loving that her designs have changed from goth skulls to flowers and vines. It shows she is becoming normal. I want my daughter to move away from goth. I don't harass her about goth, I believe if I harass her it will only make her distant. So I leave it alone. The other day she picked out a brown sweater, (not a black sweater?), I was so happy.
I on the other hand have almost caught up on my school work. Medical terminology is tough when behind in assignments. Each chapter has many parts and definitions to learn. I am currently learning the respiratory system. I have the urinary system down.
I have medication, but I have been without my Ambien for four days. I have not slept well at all. I fall asleep somewhere between 1 am and 2 am which hasn't worked well since I get up at 6 am. Tonight at last I get Ambien. So I will sleep well tonight.
Things have gotten better in my marriage. We testified in court last week. We experienced a home invasion last year and one elven months before that. So we ended up moving to another state only to be constantly reminded we had to return to testify.
It put strain on our marriage. Living in a new state, getting used to the streets, finding honest people who won't rip us off when it comes time for a home repair, ect... I was stress eating ever since the first home invasion. When I was told, "You can step down. You're released from your subpoena", I was relieved.
Ever since my appetite has lessoned, I am more energetic, I haven't been complaining, I am able to handle daily responsibility better, and I even enjoy cleaning my home. I don't care what people outside think, I literally feel free.
My instructors are great. They have allowed me to turn in work late do to court.
I was not able to purchase internet at $12.99 a day at our hotel. Meaning I could not turn in assignments. Food was so expensive, my daughter was getting over the flu and bored in the hotel, I was sore from a cyst with fever and chills at times, and my husband had the flu. One night I cried because I wanted it all over, I needed to see a doctor, I was in pain, and I wanted to go home. We all wanted to go home.
I did figure one thing out during our trip to Las Vegas. I am no longer a city person. I never thought I would be so comfortable in a place where it is quiet come nine at night.
I am home and I am happy. Even when someone cuts me off in traffic. It doesn't matter anymore.
