Please help, I can't get this thought out of my mind.
« on: March 08, 2014, 02:07:59 PM »
Due to certain personal reasons, I have become some sort of escort. I have always tried to be really safe, everything I have done has been safe.

I can't get out of my head a couple of risk situations I have had...

First, I was topping a guy and the condom broke. I realized right away and pulled off immediately. Is there any high risk regarding this episode?

Second, I was bottoming with a guy now I know is HIV+, he swears the condom didn't brake but my paranoi side refuse to belive him (I always blow the condoms after sex to see if there's any hole). I'm really worried about this because qhen get off me, the condom was only half rolled in his pwnis (he has a big one and the condoms were kind of tight). I can't get this incident off my head, it doesn't let me sleep.

Third, I have had oral sex with a bunch of guys. I have never gotten cum in my moity and I wash any precum with saliva and keep my mouth full of saliva everytime I do that. But i'm really concerned about one of my wisdom teeth coming out. One of gums is kinda left open because of that, like a hole with very very little blood, but open. Considering oral sex is just risky is there's a sore a in my mouth, which there is, will never having a load from someone in my mouth help lowering the chances of me getting hiv?

Thank you so much. I really hope you can help me...

You did have a risk by the condom breaking while you were topping him, however it is not a high risk.  HIV is harder to contract by the top and I do not expect you will test positive over this incident.  You can test 6 weeks after this incident and then at 12 weeks for a confirmatory test.

Your bottoming was not a risk, because the condom did not fail and it covered the tops penis head, so no risk there.  Oral sex is also not a risk for HIV.  The risk in oral sex comes if were to give oral to man with a high viral load and you had severe oral issues, such as "meth mouth."  The amount of blood required to pose a risk would be extreme.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start.  As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV.  Some of the other STDs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

So, there was no risk in the oral sex even tho precum might have been there and I had this open gum there?

Also, do you know of anyone who has ended up positive with a really brief condom break exposure? Also, I'm uncut, so maybe that worsens things up...

My point remains that you did not have a risk, because your gums would have to be bleeding profusely and I doubt you would be giving head in that situation.  Your condom break was very low risk, but it was a risk and you will need to test 6 weeks past this incident.  It is highly unlikely that you will become poz over this incident, however you still need to test.
