I am a little scared
« on: December 02, 2013, 12:05:46 PM »
In my last Dr. visit I was told that my Blood pressure go up to 145/89.  My Dr. advised me it is not a good sign.  Since then I have gone to the pharmacy near my home and have quite a number of HP measures.  My pressure goes from 119/79 to 149/89.  I don't really know what is going on with my blood or heart.  Is it a sign of my being at risk for HP? How is your pressure you guys?  Thank you.

My blood pressure, while resting is 120\80. I think thats pretty good.  Your blood pressure varies.
If you are stressed out or exercising, its higher.
Next Dr visit ask for a resting blood pressure test.  If its high. Ask him to let you rest quietly for a minute and think quiet thoughts. That usually brings mine down.
You may be stressed out just GOING to a doctor, so I wouldnt worry too much.

Well actually going to see a doctor is not stressful for me at all.  I have been with my current dr. since July 2008.  I like to go and see her.  Also I rested for like 45  minutes before I take the test twice which came to be 145/89.  When the dr. see the result she herself got confused as to what causes my BP high.

My age is now 46, I don't know if this can became the factor.  I haven't try to change my life style since I got HIV medication back in 2008.  Now as I am advised by my doctor, I am focusing on lifestyle change and eating.  I will start on war on Salt/Sodium. Physical exercise would also be part of my life at least of 15 to 25 minutes a day. Thank you sir for your impute anyways.
