Need some advice!!!
« on: November 22, 2013, 12:51:56 PM »
Hey wife just tested positive for gential herpes or we'll let me say she went to the hospital and got checked out and the dr said looks like herpes and order a lab test (blood work). I am HIV positive and herpes negative or so I thought, I have no signs of any gential sores or any cuts. How would this of happened because she says she didn't cheat on me and I believe her. Could it be that she is becoming HIV positive and it's not really gential herpes? We always use condoms but a couple times I would put it in without a condom on but way before I'm about to I'll either pull out or
Then put a condom on. I need some help with this is anyone on here

The herpes virus can lay dormant and become active for many reason ranging to stress or being sick to simply growing older in some cases . Many people are infected and don't know it until they have an outbreak . There are good treatments that can keep the virus at bay or completely in remission .

Your wife having a herpes outbreak is no an indication she is a cheating spouse .

Yes they are very different and labs most always test for specific things and would only test for Herpes if there were a reason to do so , like a outbreak . I would bet you they do not test routinely for Herpes .
