Loss
« on: September 22, 2013, 12:03:27 PM »
My sister in law Linda was killed this morning in a car accident . I loved her dearly and will miss her forever .

Its not been a good few months and I have been dealing with the loss of family and a few friends as well as my little girl dog Zita .

I want to ask that for each of you that read this to please call family , a friend or someone you care about and tell them you love them . If you could do this for me I will be forever grateful and rest a little easier knowing something good happened today .

I'm sorry you and your brother, and family, are going through this. Something like this is very shocking to the system that is for sure.

Linda was on my mind all day yesterday and I was going to call her just to tell her hello and I love her but I got busy and never made that call .

Linda had a rough last 6 months and family wasn't to kind her so I was there for her when they all ran away . The hardest thing to do today was hold my tongue when the ones who didn't do right by her cry the loudest and go on about how close they were and how much they loved her .

always good advice.

although my Mom's husband has been quite ill of late, we certainly didn't expect when we took him to the ER on Friday night at 8pm that he would simply slip into death by 8am. No one has expected this outcome when they had stabilized him and we had left the hospital at 2am to get some sleep. Thankfully we left him with kind words and hugs.

the end can come quite suddenly sometimes and it's always best to leave friends and family with kind loving words every time you go your separate ways.

Thanks for sharing that Mike .

I don't know about others but for me HIV forced me to contemplate death at a young age . During those pre- ART years I would sometime stop and ask myself if what I was doing was really worth it , did it have any real value .

Im pretty sure that most people who are on their death beds are not laying there thinking about the car they drive or the bank account , I bet they are not wishing they had worked harder .

I have had a pretty rough couple of months with very bad things happening to people I care deeply about and it makes me introspective and I cant lie , I'm very sad and my heart is heavy right now . It always come back around to the reality of realizing all over again that even in loss there is opportunity to gain something , so I think about what's really important and hold on to that  .

Sorry for your loss Jeff.

A few years ago I lost someone rather suddenly.  I had not been very good about calling and keeping in touch.  Your post brought that memory back.  Thx
