Persisently detectable VL at any level increases risk of treatment failure

The following is a very interesting article re: virologic failure.  This Canadian study followed 1357 participants -- here's the bottom line:

"The cumulative twelve-month incidence of virologic failure among participants who maintained an undetectable viral load was 7%"

Even low-level replication, they say, increases your risk of VF and should be treated aggressively, if possible.  Here's the link:
