Not annoying at all!

But you do take a great risk each and every time you have unprotected sex, especially if your decision is based on what another person says or thinks about his status. Some people don't know they are infected. Some people lie. Some people are recently infected since their last test, and that is when they have staggeringly high viral loads.

In short, please assume that all your partners are HIV positive until you guys are monogamous and test together twice, three months apart. You can't tell someone's HIV status by looking at him. Old, young, hairy, smooth, it's all the same.

That out of the way, you did have a risk and you need to test.

Most people seroconvert within 22 days of exposure, but a test at six weeks is considered pretty definitive. A three month test remains the gold standard we use on these forums.

But please, please try to use condoms in the future, regardless of what you think you know about your sexual partner. HIV is a real inconvenience, and it limits you in a lot of ways. You can avoid it by using a condom for anal sex. It's really that simple :)

I removed your identical post on this forum, so you should have two free posts left.

I certainly hope things turn out well for you!

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."
