Hi Iam new to the forum and can't for the life of me sort out how to
Post something so apologies if Iam goin about this post incorrectly.

Similar situation for me an would love some good advice because nearly 99% of the
Websites are saying contradictory things and my mind is falling apart
I had a encounter with a sex worker about 3 nights ago on holiday she used her hand to play with my penis then allowed me to play with her vagina I might hav touched the tip of my penis a few times with the same hand or fingers I was using to touch her vagina.. Just a few seconds before I ejaculated she put a condom on and gave me oral.
Because I had some drink taking the next day my mind started to run an race and of course think the worst. Had I been exposed to any sti's ect.
So I checked some web sites and most of them say the same thing about condoms not being totally effective ect ect and that HIV can be passed by oral sex ect..

Iam finding it really stressful and would totally appreciate any kind of advice from someone that knows the actual facts please..
Kind rgds and thanks

Hi Shannlad . I moved your post into its own thread , please only post here from now on . You can always find this thread by going to your profile and selecting show own post .

The risk for hiv are ...
Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth
Very specific healthcare situations.

You didn't have a risk . Getting a blowjob is not a risk with or without a condom . The secretions a woman makes when excited isn't a infectious so your didn't have a risk from touching a vagina .

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME for this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Because of being on holidays and sun and alcohol I keep thinking and no getting full night sleep.. I find myself doing the whole what if thing!!!!
It's so hard to let go but it's making me feel sick to my stomach..
I have no symtoms of anything but again do to reading other net sites ''before' I found poz of course it's dragging me down big time..

As much as my mind is haunting me I know we didn't engadge in inter course but it's the constant thinking and over thinking is getting me down ..
Is this normal am I being ridiculous ??

You pose some interesting questions . I think that once you are given sound advice based on science and fact and continue to question about the whats ifs then you have a problem worthy of seeking professional help from .

The facts are simple , HIV is sexually acquired from engaging in unprotected vaginal and anal sex . Condoms used consistently and correctly insure you will not be exposed to the HIV virus ... its just so simple .

A healthy sex life is something that all consenting adults should strive for , if something is preventing you from having a stress free experience before , during and after sex , I would urge you to seek therapy .

The truth is HIV is pretty hard to transmit and requires a narrow set of circumstances to be acquired , those circumstances are unprotected vaginal and anal sex .
