HIV Support Group Los Angeles in the 310???
« on: August 28, 2011, 06:13:40 PM »
I live & work in the 310 area of Los Angeles. I tested several months ago and was recently started on Atripla. I know of the Gay/Lesbian Center in West Hollywood but let's face it anyone who lives in Los Angeles knows WeHo is hard to get to with traffic. Does anyone know of HIV Support Groups in the South Bay? I guess even Long Beach would be closer than WeHo that is unless I am traveling to WeHo at midnight on a Tuesday ;D to beat the traffic.

There's one at the LGBT Center in Long Beach on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm for newly diagnosed people.  I've never been so I can't comment on the crowd or the quality of the discussions.

I am from Long Beach, was diagnosed there in 1994 and know "The Center" is on Cherry and 3rd.  The Care Program at St. Mary's was the first non-profit to offer medical care to people living with HIV in the U.S. who did not have the ability to pay for the services.  There is two ASO's in 1 south bay city, there must be more... Good Luck
Michael

It was 310 in the 19990's but was changed to 562
