Hiv- female..hiv+ male. vagina fluid with possible precum
« on: June 15, 2013, 07:44:48 PM »
My boyfriend is positive.  We ALWAYS use protection.  Early today we were grinding.  He had on his boxers. He did not insert his penis. But after a few minutes I realized that my vaginal fluid was on his boxers and then I freaked out and told him it was possible that some of his precum could have exchange fluids with mine. He said no precum came out. He takes his meds daily and he says his results always say undetectable.the boxers were a barrier but you know those holes very small. I still have time to go get the pep but very scared of side effects. Please advise. Risk esposure?

Just take a deep breath and relax ... you didn't have a risk , not even in the slightest .

HIV is sexually transmitted through unprotected vaginal and anal sex , period . Frottage or rubbing isn't risk so you do not need PEP .

As long as you are using condoms for vaginal and anal sex you do not have to worry about HIV exposure .

HIV isn't transmitted in the manner you are concerned with but if it was your bf's undetectable status makes it close to impossible to transmit any way .

Please look at the lessons section of the forum , you need to educate yourself if you are going to be dating a poz guy .

Thank you Jeff...where is that lessons section located? I actually did educate myself a lot by coming on this forum before I was sexually involved with him. However my concern was because I had read something somewhere about virus transmitting through your mucous membranes. And I thought women have quite a few mucus membranes on the vagina and the tip of his penis was directly on the vagina. However he did have on the boxers thank you again and I'll be sure to check out that section. p.s thank you so much for a quick response. It calmed me down.

The lessons section is at the top of the forum page , hover your mouse over the word prevention and you will see it in the drop down box .

You do not have to worry about getting HIV from your BF as long as you use condoms correctly and consistently for vaginal or anal sex . If getting cum on your body was a risk for HIV we would all be in trouble , the facts are no one EVER has been infected in the manner your concerned about , so just remember to use condoms ... it really is that easy .

Please don't start another thread , keep all you post here in this one . You can go to your profile and select show own post and it will take you here .

You didn't have a risk giving a BJ with healing gums . Your saliva contains proteins and enzymes that render HIV unable to infect so you do not have to worry about getting HIV from your BF as long as you use condoms correctly and consistently for vaginal or anal sex .

If you cant get over your fear of HIV after educating yourself on how HIV is transmitted then dating a person living with HIV may not be for you .
