Fast Progression of AIDs
« on: April 13, 2013, 12:17:59 PM »
I hav had sex with a CSW 7 weeks ago in Thailand. It took only 20 min and was protected. The condom was provided by the CSW.

4 days later I had headaches for only one day followed by fatigue. After one week there was some weird rash on my arms and legs. 2 weeks later,  I had some red rashes on my body and my face. Some of them disappeared after few days while some turned into purple dots.

Also, I had sore throat and mild fever. I went to european country 2 weeks after sexual encounter with CSW and I could hardly feel the fever, because the weather there was very cold. 4 weeks later I had some white patches that cant be scratched away on both side of my tongue and also had yellow-coated patches on top of my tongue(thrush).

My weight has been reduced from 67kg to 63 kg within 5 weeks. Moreover, I have sunken cheeks and dark sunken eyes! They are all AIDs Symptoms! My CD cells count should be probably less than 200 within a month. Until now I dont have any swollen lymphnotes.

I had ELISA-blood-test 5 weeks after sexual encounter with CSW and the results was HIV negative. I will hav the test again on May but I am afraid that I will be already suffering from full blown AIDs when i get tested.  I think I have been infected by a HIV-virus-subtype which leads to aids within a very short time, or maybe due to genetic factors and my weak immune system

sorry for my bad english.

Hi Sad , You didn't have a risk for HIV in the situation you gave us , if you have ANY unprotected sex , meaning penetrative vaginal or anal intercourse , then here is what you should do . You can test at 6 weeks past any exposure and again at 3 months to confirm your result .

We do not discuss symptoms because they are not specific to HIV and the only way to know for sure is to test at the appropriate time . You can put the notion that you are suffering from Aids out of your mind . If you are feeling unwell , go see your doctor .

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care checkup, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine checkups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

Hallo, Jeff G,
I was optimistic until I got white patches that can't be scratched on side of tongue and also I have sunken cheeks and dark sunken eyes (unintentional weight loss). I have blood stain on stool yesterday. I can still continue my life as normal, going to class if I dont have unintentional weight loss. I look ill and thin.

I am not sexually active. Honestly, It was my first sexual encounter and was protected. I was somehow curious and  ended up making love with a CSW. I am damn stupid! This 20 min destroyed my whole life, my future. I am still very young, 22 yrs old.

Hepatitis A,B,C and Syphillis have been tested, negative results. Gonorrhea and Chlamdyia have not been tested.

You are needlessly worrying yourself and you didn't get Aids from having sex with a condom that didn't break , period , end of story .

I'm telling you straight up , HIV isn't your problem so if you are as sick as you say you are its something else other than and you need to see a doctor .

And by the way , I have lived with HIV for 30 years now and it hasn't destroyed my life as you put it , in fact I have had a wonderful life and have HIV . I'm not being mean to you , its just I hate to see you so upset of nothing so I'm being very plain spoken and to the point . I wish you the best .
