scared

Went to strip club.  Got a dance and we began to get pretty hot and heavy.  She took condom out. I put it on.  I entered vagina for a few seconds.  I then went down on her for like 3 seconds.  I then came up and kinda freaked and stopped it all.  When I looked down, I saw a tampon on floor! I was literally down there for like 3 seconds but my gums often bleed.  Very scared.  No symptoms other than a slight swollen gland about 9 weeks afterward.  I dont want to go through testing if I dont have to...Please help

If you are using condoms for vaginal and anal sex then you didn't have a risk for HIV .

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care checkup, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine checkups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

I'm of the mind that if you are sexually active you should be testing regularly anyway , especially if you are frequenting places where a a tampon is thrown on the floor to facilitate oral sex . I'm not judging you for where you go to have fun , far from it , but I do think ANY sexually active adult shouldn't be shy of testing regularly .

Yes, I understand. But do I have a risk here?

Had you understood what you were told then you know that you never had a risk. You had protected sex and unprotected oral which is not a risk of HIV transmission.

You are most welcome , that's what we are here for . I would think you are more in need of a good mouth wash than HIV testing judging from the description of your encounter .

No worries , we have seen it all before .
