A one day cruise is very common in port cities.  We used to take a "cruise to nowhere" when ships were idle while being repositioned for the next season.  You get a whole day on board, just cruising at sea for about $200 a couple and they give you the good cabins, like with balconies, etc., instead of that inboard crap.

Miss Philicia:
Child please. If the Lady Miss P desires to indulge in a bit of gambling all she need do is take NJ transit's train from downtown Philly to Atlantic City. I think it gets me there in an hour. Plus they have a gay bar with glitzy Cher-like drag queens.

And then there's the legendary Brass Rail where everyone is one step from a crack pipe. Open since 1902!

ps: I don't even need to go AC to gamble -- we have a casino within our city border. Don't even need a car -- MERE BLOCKS FROM A SUBWAY STOP! Y'all come on down!

Oh, actually there's also Harrah's Casino & Racetrack too. I think they're planning an even larger third casino that will literally be right downtown near the convention center. Some folks are a bit aghast at that prospect.

I think those poor people on Gilligan's Island were on an ill fated day cruise .

And like Wolfe they packed enough clothes for 3 seasons .

WillyWump:
So I am hearing reports that they have cut off all the liquor and are feeding people Onion sandwich's. Not Cool.

I can handle crapping in little bags and sleeping on deck, but I draw the line here ^
