Miss P: the Lean, Mean Drivin' Machine
« on: December 31, 2012, 04:35:15 PM »
Well chilluns -- forget the long lost Saberi gem of a scarf in Terminal E of PHL, or the massive argument with my parents during which I demanded a taxi take me to Union Station immediately... nope, this holiday vaca ended with my ripping off the right rear view mirror from my father's car when I attempted to secretly park in one of Filthydelphia's notorious 6-inch wide streets (as you may recall I drive less than 10 hours each year). They're so tiny they're only good for a vegetable pushcart from 1794 (thanks Ben!), and yet they have actual names and people live on them, but of course there's no parking. I needed to dash around the corner to have two keys made before the hardware store closed for New Year's because my landlord had the fabulous idea to change the locks on the doors to the building during a major holiday. When I put it in reverse I hit a light pole.

The only thing that made this past week vacation involving three major city location changes (btw, wolfie -- I can pack for that long in a single carry-on bag so suck it) was bourbon, a LOT of wine, and excess sedatives. Unfortunately my nerves are still fried and I only have one bottle of wine in my apartment, no pills, and four shots of Basil Hayden.

Oh, and I have no plans for New Year's because... well, I'm not sure why. I had two people from France offer me their hotel sofa in Manhattan tonight but seriously who wants to fuck with that after the past week? I'm going to make a small pot of Tanzanian Peabody and settle in for an eight hour wankfest via Sao Paulo. *le sigh* if only Guilhermina was here so I could hoist her in the sling and fist her. Just to hear those familiar squeals of ecstasy would cure my aching heart.

It's only three hours from my parent's house in Virginia to Philadelphia so often I drive up with my father's car, and him in the passenger seat, and then he drives back home after we unload all of the massive amounts of food, toilet paper and other motherly stuff she packs in the trunk. If I took the train it would involve twice that amount of time driving to the Metro station, taking the subway, then taking Amtrak. And of course more money.

After all that about an eight hour wank-fest and Guilhermina's squeals of ecstasy from fisting, your only question is about her dad's car?

...Happy New Year to you both!

I think someone has put a hex on me for 2013. I know it's still four hours away but I'm so.fucking.bored that I tuned in to watch Pretty Woman and laugh at it for Julia's end-of-the-Eighties fashions and my FIOS DVR just froze up demanding a hard reset. Damn them! Now I'm missing those important first ten minutes of this seminal movie classic.

You know, I once met a Puerto Rican santerŪa devotee (trick from CLUB-USA... remember the Mugler room?) who had diamonds appliquťd to his upper central incisors and the hex he placed on me in the late 90's almost killed me for an entire decade. I can't go through that again.

edit: Pretty Woman has reappeared.

CLUB-USA... remember the Mugler room?

I have no idea what Club-USA or the Mugler room are....I think you have had way more fun than I have over the years.

By the sounds of your Christmas I would think you would welcome an evening of boredom - even if it is New Years.

Club USA was this rather legendary-for-a-year club in Times Square back in the early/mid-90's before it became Disney-fied (cleaned up). They actually hired Thierry Mugler and Jean Paul Gaultier to do the interiors of two of the VIP lounge areas off of the dance floor, so you know the queens were living. Fortunately a friend of mine did the door/velvet rope so not only did I get in for free but could show off and have a posse with me, along with ample drink tickets. Unfortunately it opened right after my AIDS diagnosis so I didn't go but maybe once a month because I was attempting to not be a drug whore (which meant I only snorted coke once a month :)~

As far as NYE and night clubs -- horrendous! Full of amateurs like Halloween. Plus I'm too old for such things now.

ps: Julia is about to go shopping on Rodeo!

1) you lie about your loose love chamber vaginal lips -- those flabby things shake mightily in the soft south Texas air

2) well, what can one say about Mitchell? She's definitely down for anything when it comes to my entreaties, but she's so greedy I usually have to lube a traffic cone up with Crisco. A mere fist makes her yawn. Plus she's so fucking demented she makes me play this song when I'm doing it:

could show off and have a posse with me,

Oh bitch please. Posse ::) Talk to me when you can get an entourage of 20-30 people and the bartenders at Boyz Cellar back bar would wave us up cutting in front of everyone else.  I also occasionally had bar staff shadow me as quasi body guards. I had the run of 2 bars. Never waited in line, free drinks for me all the time, anytime. At one point I had 2 bars fighting for my permanent presence. I was extrememly good for their business. Of course, all of this because I was considered the Scarface of 4th street.

That was the Pallidium on E. 14th St. I saw Grace Jones there once for an AIDS benefit in the early 90's, and later that decade "Arena" was the weekly gay event with Junior Vasquez as the DJ, until it was demolished to build dorms for NYU.

I remember Club USA.  And scarier still I remember the early 80's clubs in Times Square, 15 years before Club USA!  Peppermint Lounge, and the first Danceteria.
I was too young to know the 70's midtown discos. We didn't go up to midtown much in the 90s except maybe do the hustler dive bar circuit or go to Escuelita and Sally's.
When was Bentley's?  80's or 90's? Its a blur. And Suzanne Bartsch at the Copa?

I have some brain rot cause I am sure the last time I went to Club USA it was a boring half empty soiree launching Kevin Aviance's Din Da Da but the timing doesn't seem right. This youtube clip says its came out in 1997 but I'm sure it was a few years earlier.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l7_Zu2AQyQ

I really liked peppermint lounge in 1980, it was always chock full of cute rockabilly types especially this one Maxwell Caufield ringer I'd also see at Mudd Club doing that twirling hopping dance.

Bartsch @ Copa was the late 80's and 1990. I think it stopped and then she did parties at Tavern on the Green and in the summer on some pier on the Hudson down toward Tribeca, and a couple in Central Park.

And I'm sure USA was tired towards the end -- what isn't? I can't even remember it closing. I think it was behind the Gaiety and may have been demolished at the same time as that. I did those hustler bars too -- there was also one tucked behind the Port Authority but I forget the name. Also Stella's, LaFleur's and Cat's. But the most awesome of all was The Magic Touch in Queens with the basement VIP lounge with the walls covered in aluminum.

USA was cool in '92 and '93, Sunday night party "Bump" which we all went to after Sound Factory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iw8fe-Rbo1I

I remember going to the Saint in the late 70's or early 80's.

The last "outing" into NY was about 10 years ago to Don't Tell Mama's near Times Square.
Watched a 95 year old woman singing and playing the piano. 8)

I can't decide whether or not to make some coffee and just spend New Year's Day just drifting in and out of sleep on the sofa. If I return to bed now I'll be woken up by the annual, dreadfully loud Mummers Parade. It assembles around 9 or 10 AM just a few blocks south of me and I'm forced to listen to their weird saxophone dirge anthems for at least eight solid hours -- it used to go on for 11 hours -- can you imagine? Directly under my living room windows. It's honestly the worst day of the year. For someone who enjoys big city life I detest large public gatherings.

I'm really craving the coffee, but then I've only slept a couple of hours. Oh -- I have left over French toast from my mother in the fridge to go with some skillet-seared salt-cured Virginia ham (best thing in the world!).

Goodness no. That would have meant 9 days instead of 7 with my family. That was one long fucking week.

Ah -- see, they've begun to arrive. This is looking out my window and they're are three trucks unloading generators and huge speakers. They'll be blasting all sorts of music for hours.

Maybe I should hold a Grindr Party in my penthouse and serve mimosas and poppers for parade viewing. Plus several extremely large dildos and mounds of meth fresh from the Club Body Center downtown. You'd love it, Mitchell. Plus there's a gay Columbian dealer two blocks away for festive refreshing of favors. Bring your ATM card, please!

Well, I'm awake now. I wonder if that was Danny, the young Puerto Rican, that always rings my bell without calling when he's high as a kite on meth. So not fetch even if he's cute and funny.

K, so I'm going to make some coffee with my special Chemex brewing method -- tis the best way ya know.

Right on cue -- it's 9 AM and the mayhem has begun. I don't even go down to the street and watch. Maybe I will this year since it's going up to 40 degrees at noon.

I remember going to the Saint in the late 70's or early 80's.

The last "outing" into NY was about 10 years ago to Don't Tell Mama's near Times Square.
Watched a 95 year old woman singing and playing the piano. 8)

So , you did visit Miss P.?

Indeed! And with a Mexican flag this year -- I hope he stops off at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia two blocks up the boulevard. Wanna play Pick The Friar?

Visit what? The Saint? No, that closed the year before I moved to NYC I think. Anyway that was an older crowd than I was at the time. I was more Boy Bar, Panty Girdles and Pyramid, with the Factory on the weekends.

I couldn't handle your chartreuse fetish. I possess not a drop of that except one piece of Russel Wright Steubenville ceramic cookery given to me as a present. That color is so fey.

drink your coffee.

I just had my standard 26 ounces. I will have to make another pot today which I rarely do. I wonder if Ultimo Coffee is open. omg "edit" -- love google voice, just made it dial my smartphone via the web to see if they were open today. I can walk down to Mifflin on the parade route and hang with the hipsters and buy some pricey coffee beans to use at home, plus have a macchiato while there (as opposed to the FAKE ones they sell at Starbucks piled high with -- what is that stuff? whipped cream?). Or I could venture downtown and score some double-fried dill pickle glazed fried chicken from Federal Donuts. Decisions, decisions!

Yeah but there was a an overlap because sometimes we would get invites to the "new" saint (which was very glam with huge flower arrangements spotlit downstairs, and also a bit empty) and we would go give twirl under the dome, then over to Boybar for the real fun with "people like us".  And wasn't Whispers at Pyramid on Sunday?

The Saint was the last time I saw fan dancers.

You may hate the Mummers parade but a lot of New Englanders give respect to Philadelphia for that doozy.

That piece would fetch a decent price around here.  Steubenville and Roseville pottery are both local to us.  And of course Heisey.

You should be awake at 7 AM getting ready for work, whatever it is you do for a slacker job. No wonder you have to rush through some transfat-laden drive through half way into your commute and consume a horrendous McMuffin combo with an extra hash brown. I'd bet good money that you order your large coffee with four creamers and four sugars so it tastes like a candybar.

So after EIGHT HOURS of loud music and endless parade participants this event has finally ended, and they even cleaned the entire boulevard within the hour -- that is effective city government for you! Thank goodness for high Yankee tax rates! No teabaggin' for Killadelphia!

It's now quiet enough that I can turn on my television and look for a Hitler marathon. Or maybe How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days (something at which I excel!).

ps: my dick is sore from masturbating three times yesterday -- please advise! (thank goodness my testicles are a normal size and can still pump out several loads at nearly the age of 48)...

Please, I've never shot more or farther since I've been on Testo, but I actually think it is the Saw Palmetto I take to stem hair loss that gives me amazing shots.

You do know that they are running marathons of Honey Boo Boo and Doomsday Preppers on TLC and NatGeoTV respectively?  But I'm sure you've already seen all the episodes.

Actually I've seen most of the HBB episodes, but new ones being next Sunday evidently -- special holiday theme but for some odd reason it's airing after the holidays are finished. I've only watched a couple of the Preppers shows. I find them very disturbing. Oddly I can watch Hitler programs for hours. But what I really crave is a good Jennifer Aniston flick. I really need to break down and get netflix/VUDU/AppleTV or whatever.

TV seems void of Kardashians today. Hey, I hope everyone heard that Kim K. is officially preggars with Kayne's seed. And she's not even divorced from what's-his-name yet. Typical Republican.
