bladder issue
« on: October 18, 2012, 11:02:19 PM »
This is mostly a guy question, but in the past week or two my urine stream has not been 'flowing' very well so to speak.  I feel like i have to force the flow for it to happen at times.  Then after it happens the bladder opening i feels little sore

Also soon after i urinate i feel the need to go again soon eventhough there really isn't nothing there.  i spoke to my ID doc a week or so ago when i had my physical, he advises it possibly could be a swollen prostate, but said he would look into that further later.  he give me the finger when he checked my prostate and said it felt smooth. still waiting on the physical tests to come back.

Any guys ever had this kind of  issue?

I have had problems with an enlarged prostate on and off for years and what you describe is the classic symptoms of that condition .

Until your doctor can definitively diagnose it there are a few things you can do such as avoiding caffeine , tobacco and alcohol . If you take warm sits baths it can help also .
You can also try sitting down to urinate and then rub the perineum area before you get up , that will force urine out so you wont leak in your underwear when you get up .

The perineum is that space between your balls and ass ... the taint LOL .

I switched to drinking green tea during the day and cranberry juice in the evening.  I've not had those issues with low streams and the constant feeling of have to whiz since.

If you drink white zin, you can even had cranberry juice to it and enjoy a spritzer. ;D

Coffee might be the issue.  I was a heavy drinker in the past when I had those issues.  I'd drink it right up to the evening.  Now I limit myself to 2 pots in the morning.
