WOW! Thank you all so much......
I have been so busy at work today - but have also been very surprised by all of the birthday wishes on FB and the calls I have gotten....

46 years old - and loving every minute of it...
Even when things aren't going exactly "up" - I still have a wonderful life, wonderful friends, and always interesting adventures...

Thankfully, my father taught me a long time ago to never let anything in life get you so down that you don't appreciate the fact that if there is one thing that life isn't, it is boring.

Planning on going out to dinner tonight after work at Duffy's (one of my favorite sports bars) w/ some friends..... I will probably have about 4 (okay, maybe 6) Coronas (after all, they are 2-4-1 all night)...

http://www.duffyssportsgrill.com/index.php

Feeling a bit better.... still have to go easy on the stomach..... but we will get that figured out soon enough.

I really can't say enough how much the birthday wishes mean and how much I appreciate so many people on these forums (and then there are those.... LOL  ;)   )

Happy 46th birthday phil!!  Enjoy those Coronas, one of the few beers I drink when I do.  I had a friend in Boston who referred to them as Gaaaawbage.

   Have fun!

Thanks Mike and Thomas....

And, I hear the preparations starting to take place in the office next to me....
We call it "the party office..."

We always have "surprise" parties for everyone's birthdays.... however, they are never much of a surprise - because we know that we do it for everyone... and they shut the door to the office to set up for them...

So, around 3:00 pm, I will probably get a call to go to the office next door - and the "surprise" party will begin...

I wonder what theme they will do this year? Last year, it was a casino theme - because I love the casinos (especially the Hard Rock in Hollywood: http://www.seminolehardrockhollywood.com/)

Thanks Everyone!
Getting ready to head out for some dinner and drinks...

Office birthday party theme was: chocolate and MBA decorations (Six Sigma, Histograms, Scatter Charts, etc) and cut outs of ties that spelled out "Happy Birthday" -  my work colleagues know that I love ties (have about 200 of them and actually enjoy wearing them - lol)

Oh, and they got me a gift certificate for a complete mobile detailing of my car (so that was cool also).

Okay -- about to head out - Coronas are calling (though it will be an early evening - I have work tomorrow  :( )

Oh well, there's always the weekend......

Thanks again everyone!

Thanks again all...
I actually was in bed last night by a few minutes after 9 pm (I am getting old! LOL)  Had a great day. Although, I think that the best birthdays are the ones that fall on Friday or Saturday!

The most important thing I got out of my birthday?
Knowing that I have some great friends (many of them here on these Forums) who I truly value having in my life.

I was able to lay down at 9:00 with a smile on my face (and I did that alone  ;D   Years ago that would have been unheard of.... but now, I actually enjoy the time I am having getting to know "me" a lot better and fulfilling some of my dreams and goals - and feeling comfortable and confident knowing that 'the best has yet to come.')

Thanks again for being a part of my celebration.
-Phil
