FULL BLOWN AIDS!
« on: October 14, 2012, 12:42:52 PM »
From Magic Mike to Dallas Buyer's Club (fyi Gael Garcia Bernal just signed up for it too), Matthew McConaughey has morphed his bubblebutted 42 year old bod into a fabulous, gaunt, cheek-sunken, lipoatrophy-ized AIDS long term survivor.

Comments? Suggestions? DISCUSS!++

I've always been amazed how actors lose, gain, and lose weight.  Get really muscular and then pencil thin.  It's easier to do when you're young, but harder in your 40's.  Losing all that muscle and weight so quickly has to be hard on your body.

I find him absolutely repellent.  And that voice and way of speaking sends chills up my back.  But, I would say good for him, if they do a good job with the movie.  Oh, and having the discipline to starve himself.

Isn't that just a Texan accent?

And how can you not watch The Wedding Planner every time it's on (which is basically ever weekend)?

I liked him in the movie U-571.   It was a good movie and he did a good job.

I hope he does a good job in this movie too.y

It's definitely her -- the pictures surfaced a week ago, and then the Palin PR machine objected to articles about her weight loss and claimed it was because she's writing a fitness book.

Holy crapola, I just realized I'm all AIDSY looking.  I was finally able to stand on the scales and I'm down to 138lbs even with this heavy cast on.  Guess I was so worried about gaining weight from laying around day that I over did the food rationing.  Guess it also doesn't help being all by my lonesome without anyone to prepare meals.

If memory serves me correctly, my lowest weight was around 1989 when I around 100lbs.  I wish I had kept some of those stick figure pics.  :)

I was very worried about porking up after my foot surgeries, and was careful with my food intake. At most I gained 5 lbs, so basically nothing. Since you were not overweight before all of this I would be careful about losing too much. Not sure how much a cast weighs but it can't be that much -- it's a rather lightweight figerglass they use.

You must be a petite lady if you can get to 100 even during wasting.

He actually looks loads better here than he did in Magic Mike.  He looked kinda lipo-ey in the face in that movie  :o

PS: You've got to admit that Christian Bale had Matty beat when it comes to pulling off that look.

Dang, that image brought me back directly to my aidsy days, and it's not a time frame I remember fondly.

I prefer 100000 times to be fatty than return to that skinny look, and the worst thing is that I can lose weight quickly (did it a few weeks ago just by skipping eating at night. I had to get back to my night meals).

Damn that's hardcore. I've never seen that.

The movie is fairly creepy on the whole but yeah I thought for sure he would die being that thin.  He had to be living on the edge of starving to death.

1) In Magic Mike, he looks like the hot poz daddies circa 2012 in the bareback videos I watch.  Just saying...   Irony of it all.

2) Some people are saying the health risk is too high, despite the artistic authenticity of these radical weight changes.

3) But he sure does look the part, doesn't he?  Bravo, I guess, for his daring...
