Should I start on meds this week
« on: August 06, 2012, 07:26:34 PM »
Hi. I just got my complete test. There is:
VL-9,954
CD4 281 17.96%
CD4 CD8 ratio: 0.33
CD8%: 54.2%
I know its suggested to start when your CD4 is bellow 350. SO I know I need to start. But I have some troubles about my personal life. It ll be better if I start in 1 month. But I m really worried if it will put me in real trouble(like some O.I). I dont know. Im really new on that disease. I ll have my appointment with the doctor in 4 days. I wanna go there with some advice. Should I start now or can I wait this month.
Thanks

A month will make no difference, start when convenient, but do start soon if you want maximum benefit from the meds.

Pek, I agree with Matt. It would be better that you are in a good place mentally before you start, so it will be easier for you to be compliant (take your meds every day). Get yourself sorted out first. While you do need to start soon, you can wait a month or so. Good luck.
