This is great to see, it sure wasn't that way in my Navy,
days, as you couldn't be out, I'm glad that some now see this as
not a threat but an awakening, and that makes me feel good
to have lived long enough to get to see this  :)

Nice to see, I guess some of those conservative old stalwarts in San Diego must be fuming that their beloved armed forces are now being opened up to progressive ways.

San Diego certainly has it's share of conservatives but the funny thing is the Republican candidate for mayor is gay! As are our City Attorney, my city council rep, and at least one state rep. Actually, during the primaries, two of the three leading candidates for mayor were gay, both Republicans though. The one that is still in is a total jerk and I won't be voting for him.

I went to the parade last year when active duty service members marched in the parade for the first time, though not in uniform. It was great! Didn't make this year, I've been kicking myself. I had a good pride anyway!

     I am proud to say I am a Navy veteran that served happily , never had any issues with being gay  ;)

I have never been to a Pride parade yet.
