HPV and HIV
« on: July 14, 2012, 04:06:39 PM »
Hello everyone,

I tested HIV positive last year and three months ago, I started to develop anal warts. I saw my doctor, and he referred me to a surgeon to have them removed. I had both internal and external warts and I had them removed about two weeks ago. Today, I wake up this morning, and my anus was a little itchy. I decided to look at it, and boy was I disappointed. My warts have come back bigger in number and size and it's really depressing. All the pain I had to go through seems like it's coming back again. The surgery was awfully painful and I never hated going to the bathroom like I do now. I can't believe I'm going to have to go through this pain again, it's so annoying!

Does this (the reoccurring warts) have to do with being HIV positive? Is it possible for the warts come back this fast (2 weeks period)? Will I be ever able to have normal anal sex again?

I'm super frustrated  :(

It's sometimes a long process to get rid of them, yes. When I had them I went through several burning and freezing processes before having to resort to having them snipped out. Nothing like stitches in your ass. But they did not come back after that fortunately.
