Arizona Secretary of State
« on: May 19, 2012, 12:59:51 PM »
The Secretary of State in Arizona is threatening to remove President Obama's name from the ballot.

He's demanding to see a copy of the President's birth certificate and Hawaii hasn't responded.

This whole "birther" issue was settled in 08.  Even their wacko governor Brewer says this is a non-issue!  Yet he's standing his ground to make political hay!

I watched this the other night !   >:(   November can't get here soon enough! It's going to be a long 6 months.

I work with a couple birthers, who still insist, he is not a citizen of the United States.  The rest of us who know better, get them silenced, shortly after they start their rant.

Is that even legal?

Has this guy been living under a rock? (as opposed to ON a rock, like I do)

I spent a couple hours yesterday afternoon reading about current American politics. For one thing - I checked out this Ted Nugent I've been hearing about. I thought surely it couldn't be the rocker who had a hit with Cat Scratch Fever when I was a teen? I'm astounded that it IS the same guy. Makes me wish I never bought any of his albums. The guy is a dangerous nut-case.

This guy in Arizona sounds like a dangerous nut-case too, and he actually holds a position of power. Scary! What the hell is going on in the US these days? It just keeps getting worserer and worserer.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

I find this mess amazing.  President Obama will have served two terms and this huff and puff would still be going on.

Yep, because I've got better things to do with my time than closely follow US politics. I've got enough on my plate following local and UK politics. I've been noticing references to things Ted Nugent has said for ages, but only just got around to checking out if he was who I hoped he wasn't. Colour me bitterly disappointed. :(

I also was disappointed at the rocker's rantings.  I used to love his music, and he was my first concert when I was 16.  When he first started his b.s. I was hoping he was joking.  Unfortunately not.   I can't help it, I still like his old songs (Wango Tango, Stranglehold), but don't listen to it anymore.

Thanks, Betty. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one feeling that way about him.
