Frottage/Dipping HELP!
« on: August 08, 2012, 11:37:14 AM »
Hello I'm a 20 year old female from the u.k.
Last night i had a risky encounter with a heterosexual male of unknown HIV status.we did not have sex as we did not have a condom, however there was very heavy frottage for about 5 to 10 minutes.I'm concerned as i felt the head of his penis pressing into the bottom of my vagina for a few seconds a couple of times. Is this dipping and a risk of infection? I dont think he had any pre cum but it was very wet so i cant be sure.He eventually ejaculated away from me.I'm really scared should i get tested? Thank you.

Frottage is not a risk. That kind of rubbing, however vigorous, is quite different from actual insertion. I would not consider what you have described to be a risk for transmission.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. It seems that neither of those happened with you during this incident.

Just make sure condoms are available for if and when you do have intercourse.

I don't see any need for testing this time.

Even if the head was dipped in a few times?

I don't read what you have described as a risk.

But bottom line is if you are going to worry about it, there is a simple solution. Get tested. Do that at 6 weeks after the incident. A negative at 6 weeks virtually guarantees that you will test negative for a conclusive result at 3 months.
