NYC Dentist

Can anyone recommend a HIV-friendly dentist in NYC?  I hate going to the dentist in general, and would rather deal with someone that understands HIV and has taken care of that patient population.

So I asked my doctor for a dentist recommendation.  He gave me a list of 3 dentists, but unfortunately none of them accept my insurance.  Anyone here have any suggestions?

Find a list of what dentists do take your insurance (your insurance company may be able to provide this) and ring them and ask if they have experience with poz patients.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

There's an HIV+ (only) dental clinic at Callen Lorde in Chelsea on W. 18th b/tw 8th and 9th:
