HIV and AD/HD (Adderall)
« on: April 16, 2012, 11:14:02 AM »
I have HIV, and I also have ADHD... I am wondering if taking adderall will have any effect on the virus or conflict with any medicines I may take in the future. I'm going to grad school this fall and will need to start my adderall back up on my study days. What do you all think? Is this stimulant bad in any way to my immune system or does it feed the virus?

Thanks

I'm not an expert on the issue but my HIV doc prescribed adderall or something similar for chronic fatigue for me so I'm assuming if you aren't on any meds that contradict taking adderall it wont effect the HIV virus .

I couldn't tolerate it because even in small doses it made me really jumpy and agitated so I stopped taking it . It doesn't effect many people they way it did me .
