Hey Everyone,

After lurking around the forums for a while i decided to finally post.  I have read all over the internet that oral sex is little to no risk.  On this forum it says it is no risk and only a risk in theory such as getting attacked by zombies is a risk in theory.  As much as this helps ease my mind a little, i can't help but to ask about my own personal story and i appreciate any response.  You all do such great work here and i admire your commitment to provide people with information.

On Febrauary 4th, 2012 i visited a transgendered prostitute at her home.  I was a little drunk so the alcohol got the better of me.

Anyway, she performed unprotected oral on me and she sort of shoved her penis into my mouth for about 15 seconds (unprotected as well) and when she stopped to put a condom on her penis to move on to the next act (i assume she was going to try to penetrate me) and i told her i wasn't into that so then she proceeded to give me more unprotected oral.  I put on my clothes and left.

This was the first time i ever performed oral on a TS or any man/woman for that matter so the anxiety of possibly contracting something worried me immediately.  I also bleed sometimes if i brush my teeth too hard and i have fairly crooked teeth as well.  I have also been diagnosed with Depression so i take anti-depressants daily to quell my anxieties.

During the second week i noticed a small blister type sore (purplish) on my tongue.  I just finished eating a spicy sandwich so i thought that may have caused it but i started freaking out and went to get tested.  I also had jock itch during that same week.

The Rapid HIV test came back negative and they sent the blood to get an RNA test which also came back negative.  This was at the 2 week mark.

I was relieved for a while and during the 2nd week i came down with a slight flu (mild sore throat for about 2 days and general weakness if i walked around too much)  My sister was sick and so were a few coworkers so i thought i may have caught a bug that was going around so i let it go.  I also got what looked like athletes foot on the bottom of one of my feet which i NEVER get.  (though my tub has been having some mildew/mold issues lately).  But i also thought this may have been a sign of a potential infection as well.   :-\

A few weeks later i started to have a sore jaw, ear pain, pain sensation when swallowing (not like a sore throat), but i had also stopped smoking marijuana since the TS incedent and had been clenching my jaw A LOT.  I visited the doctor (ENT Specialist) and he said i probably had joint innflamation from my jaw (TMJ) which was causing the pain in my neck, throat, and ear.  He also saw no sign of swollen lymph nodes I started smoking again and it almost immediately went away.   Still i was freaked out and got ANOTHER Rapid HIV test at 7 Weeks.  (Fingerpoke, Oraquick HIV 1/2) test.

Test came out Negative.  The counselor also told me that there would have had to been a virtual blood bath during my oral sex encounter for there be a chance of infection.  He assured me my activity was very low risk.  That was at 7 weeks.

This Monday (8 weeks)  I started panicking again and got really worried about window periods and this that and the third and i went to go ANOTHER test.  This time it was the oral gum swab rapid test.

Test came out Negative.  The counselor also told me i was worrying for no reason and that nobody has ever gotten hiv from oral sex and the very few documented cases that everyone reads about on the internet may have even been from people who had the virus before their encounter and did not know they had it until they got tested so they assumed it may have been oral.  He seemed very confident that my test would come out negative and it did.

So here i am closing in on Week 9 and i have the strong urge to go get tested again.  I feel like i am literally going crazy and my depression/anxiety issues are not helping.  I have trouble concentrating at work, and i feel like everything i see or hear in public that has to do with HIV/AIDS is an omen for my inevitable fate.

This website and thebody.com have been my main resources for info.  I need help.

Every new mark on my body i assume will grow into some kind of rash.  Every awkward swallow i assume will turn into a sore throat.  Every chill i get i assume is a fever coming on.  People ask what's wrong with me and i can't tell them.  My wreckless lifestyle has put me here and i pray everyday that i am ok.

I guess my main questions are:

1.  Did i have a significant risks given the symptoms above?
2.  Do my negative results at 2 weeks w/ RNA test, 7 weeks Rapid Blood and 8 weeks Rapid oral mean anything?  Some say conclusive at 6-8 weeks, others say 3 months, some say 12 weeks, other say 13.  Some say that those who say 3 months and are just covering there asses even though 6 weeks is considered fairly conclusive unless there is a sever immune disorder from chemo or organ transplant.
3.  Does smoking marijuana delay results at all?
4.  Would you recommend further testing?

Thank you for reading.  You guys are great.

I am sure that, having read this forum, you know our mantra regarding symptoms.

We usually never ever address them, as they are almost irrelevant in terms of discussing HIV.

Moreover, the level of "bad oral hygiene" you would need to consider receptive fellatio a risk is more along the level of meth mouth. Google that, though not when eating. We are talking hard core, extreme stuff. And even then, how can we reasonably quantify an event that three separate studies have been unable to even verify exists?

Of course smoking pot does not delay results. If you are in the middle of chemo, which has totally wiped out your immune system, then that might delay results.

I would not have even recommended testing at ALL for the event as you described it.

Of course, every sexually active person ought to have one (or two) full STD panels done a year, including HIV, The more often you do it, the more routine and the less OMG WTF it becomes.

No risk, no need to test. Wear a condom for penetrative anal and vaginal sex and you will avoid HIV. It's that simple.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

Hey Jkinatl2

It's almost as if i'm speaking to a celebrity of some sorts since i've read many of yours posts for the past few months.

Thank you for your response.

I guess a large amount of my anxiety comes from never checking on my sexual health.  Every blood test i've taken i opted out for STD checks and HIV checks.  So when this happened it was new territory for me and for me to get the courage to finally get tested really helped me understand why it is so important to be tested as to not put others at risk.  Great than (>) AIDS has also been running an ad campaign around my area for like what seems like forever so everyday im reminded of the disease which plays with my mental state A LOT.

I still haven't gotten a full STD check for things like Syphillis, Ghonorrea, Chlymedia etc. which i definitely plan to do so once my health insurance kicks in next month.

Thank you for your comments and quick response

btw i googled meth mouth, gross!  I'll stick to marijuana.
