I had my annual review at work the other day...
« on: March 23, 2012, 06:10:52 PM »
 :)

This was also my 15th anniversary, on the job.  I think most companies probably review on this type of basis of "weight" and "Merit "  index.

My final score was 82.2   It's pretty difficult to get 5's, but I received two  8) 5's   All the rest were 4's

This is my second consecutive year of no absences. ( although this past week, I could have used a couple days off.  Got that cold thing going on again. 4 times in ten months !  :-X

By the way, there will be only one more review after this one, before I call it quits ! Only hoping I can hold out for another 19 months. It gets pretty rough at times ! I'm really getting tired !

Here's some pics:

I've scheduled my annual orientation for 4/23/11. At that time, I will get my TB test, and and go through 4-5 hours of movies/ safety procedures, diseases, Yada, yada, yada,.. I will get to hear some amateurs talk about HIV/AIDS, hopefully they've improve on this part of the orientation. They have always been sloppy, and not to up to date, on this segment through the years.

Hi Ray
Are you talking about quitting or retiring?  I'm confused.

Congratulations on the review, Ray, as well as the plan to retire next year.

I will have 7 years to go until I hit 62. I will file for SS at that time, butt may not stop working right away.

I'll play that by ear.

HUGS,

Mark

Thanks guys !  :)  I may be ready to retire, but I am not ready to stop working yet.  I have already begun looking into volunteering at Bay Pines VAMC.

I plan on keeping somewhat active, I just can't be idle.

Thanks---Ray  8)

Yeah that's the key Ray, I've got something to do 7 days a week, and it keeps me busy & grounded  ;)

Congratulations on your performance review Ray.

I started a thread about retirement planning a while ago.

I am making plans as well but most likely will go a few years past 62 before retiring.
