What the heck is "The Announcement"?

Did anyone see "The Announcement" on ESPN?  Just wondering.

I watched it tonight. It's about Magic Johnson - his life before, the announcement of him having HIV, and then his life since.  He's such a cool dude.  I wish that I had the courage to "come out" with my HIV status like him and make a difference.  Maybe some day I'll be more strong... just not very strong mentally right now and still coming to terms with it. However, Magic committed to it right from day 1 and marched forward from there.

I really liked it and thought it was a cool movie/documentary.  :)

Hi Forrest. I merged your new thread about The Announcement into the already existing one. Please try to keep specific subjects like this all in one thread in future. Thanks! :)

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

:-[  Thanks Ann.  So sorry.  Totally forgot that thread was there... AND.. I even freaking posted in it!! And I still forgot.. duh.  I tell ya... I am so serious that I think HIV has affected my memory. Freaking drives me nuts and is soooo frustrating.  But anyway... I'll try not to do it again

Anyway... I thought this movie/documentary was great and was curious if anyone else ended up seeing it.
