William Levy the hawt Jewban (Jewish Cuban) version of Brad Pitt is going to be on it. And he's circumcised, like a good clean reader of the Torah -- I've seen it in see-through underwear he modeled five years ago. Only communists have foreskin.

I was surprised Gavin DeGraw signed up.  I thought his career was on the rise.  Sherri Shephard!!!!  Many of the entertainment shows are discussing how DWTS will do up against The Voice.  I don't watch either of the shows, so I don't know.  I know several folks my parent's age love Dancing with the Star.  I've read their core audience is conservative, older people.

Interesting.... considering that the audience votes kept Chaz Bono much longer than his dancing abilities would have (not to mention Carson Kressley)........  I'd say there has to be a fairly large "less conservative" group.

I am surprised with all that forced vaginal probe legislation the good ol boys didn't throw in forced genital mutilation for boys, as well.  College-educated atheist snob parents aren't cutting their boys automatically.  This is God's America!

And a fag Oscar to those French fags.  It's just too much to deal with. I want to throw up.

I refuse to watch DWTS and/or American Idol. If it's something particularly compelling I'll watch a clip on youtube, but that's it.

ELLE-OH-ELLE

I was rather puzzled by Mechita's diatribe.  I just though that he was kind of upset coz 'The Artist' stole the Oscar from 'War Horse'.

Explanation:

Miss P, in paying attention to Hot Piece's cut dick:
And he's circumcised, like a good clean reader of the Torah -- I've seen it in see-through underwear he modeled five years ago. Only communists have foreskin.
Somewhat  referencing Levy's readiness for prime time American sex symbol acceptance - since only hippies, communists and the smelly French have foreskins (speaking in tongues - what bedrock americans think.)

So having to listen to how many Rachel Maddow take-downs of the forced vaginal probing by all white male southern legislatures and the interview she did with the clever black female legislator who counter proposed a bill that would require men to get probing prostate exams before a viagra prescription!  ahahahah.

If these white male good ol boy dimwits really want to sanction "state rape" of women's vaginas I am SURE they might be happy to legislate mandatory circumcision. Isn't it the fags and lesbians and hippies in SF who have been trying to ban circumcison for years! Dirty communists the lot of them!

College educated atheist snobs ties in Santorum's diatribes against exactly who he is (college educated and moving up in class from his parents class.  Snob!). Hypocrite peddling his very odd take on what working class christians believe about the "aspirational middle class" and what we thought was still a universally held american dream.  Thanks for the update Santorum.  Oh wait, actually, you are full of shit.

Surely these "subway riding elites" (the college educated snobs) are not cutting their boys!  And the working class, they want their boys cut and uneducated, that's the American way.  Thank god we can at least have some hot gorgeous nice jewish stud from Cuba.  Cut. Which his big white American smile.

Continuing the cynical pandering populism of such candidates, then enough is enough, right - we don't need those uncut intellectual french snobs getting OUR freaking academy awards for some pansy ass movie.  WTF.  Fairy Hollywood. It's all Alec Baldwin's fault.

Thanks for providing an explanation for your previous post.

Um, I got what Mecch was going on about - it's to do with the draconian anti-abortion laws some southern locales have been trying to get on the books. Don't you people keep up on the ongoing assault on a woman's right to decide what happens to her own body? Guess not.

I've been against routine circumcision since I was about sixteen - long before I ever came eye to eye with an uncut cock. I always vowed any son of mine would be left intact - but I never had a son. I've actually had this discussion with my daughter as well and she agrees that the circumcision of baby boys is just a barbaric throw-back to old-testament times. Sometimes there are valid medical reasons for the procedure, but it's rare that it's absolutely necessary.

But anyway - DWTS - I don't waste my time on any shows of that ilk. I believe the whole "dancing" genre of programs originated in the UK - much to my horror. Does the US have Dancing on Ice yet? That's worth an occasional peek - just to see them fall flat on their asses. Hilarious.

Hi Ann,
I dont think the most recent US birth-control and abortion wars - "cultural wars" - are international news.
What I read on my political blogs and podcasts is that we face a dreary election season in which, if the economy stays OK, then the Republicans will be forced to run on values and morality issues.  Uggg.  And Romney, Santorum and Gingrich are proven hypocrites on these issues.  Its the WORST most destructive type of campaign, factless ideologies and condescending to and "idea" of the "lowest common denominator" which, being 50% women, is sheer insanity, and which in reality doesn't even care about these issues.  Its gonna be one Potemkin Village  after another, myths that bear no relation to reality.  Straw man arguments like Kennedy was against freedom of relgion or catholics don't use birth control.

If I had to be strapped into a viewing chair with my eyelids open a la Clockwork orange, I'd rather watch endless DWTS than any more of this Republican minstral show.

 ;D

No, not particularly international news, but the people in this thread who were scratching their heads over your post all live in the States. Maybe it would be more to the point to say that the recent US birth-control and abortion wars are not men's news.

I keep up on this type of news out of the US to remind myself how fortunate I am to live where I do. And, being a woman, it's best to keep abreast of this type of thing because there are too many people in the UK who think that what happens in the US must be a good thing and should be brought in over here. Forewarned is forearmed.

I forget who said it first - if men were the ones to get pregnant and bear children, abortion would be a sacrament.

A season of Dancing with the Stars I would enjoy watching:

Bill Clinton
Lindsay Lohan
Stevie Nicks
Carrot Top
Pete Doherty
Christiane Amanpour
Matthew McConaughey
Kathy Griffin
Kathy Najimy
Ru Paul
Some hot piece like Levy
A former hunk such as Val Kilmer
and Naomi Campbell

Ann,

I was scratching my head at Mecch post because it didn't seem to relate to the topic in any way......  it seemed to be in the wrong thread.
I am VERY aware of the assault on women's health and rights, because much of this news is coming from the state of Virginia -- which is where I live.  I see it daily and here the idiotic men (and women) who try to justify these things every day on the local news.  I do my best to vote these idiots out, but unfortunately, I am surrounded by too many people who believe them!  So, I'm left being represented by nut jobs like Eric Cantor................

I'm probably only watching for soap star hunk Jack Wagner (formerly of Melrose Place and for you old girls: Frisco from General Hospital)

And Philicia: I'm sure a little spray tanning will work wonders on him  :o

...wow, hard to believe that's Frisco!!!

Looks more like Willem "Goblin" Dafoe.

My favorite was always Dusty from ATWT...

Okay, so I must've been watching the Twilight Zone because I thought he danced like a spastic straight boy. I think the judges were just hot for him.

I so agree.....  he could definitely shake his booty, but the rest of it was just sort of..........  blah.  I thought Bruno was going to jump him on live TV.

However -- it certainly was the best group they've ever had -- no absolute awful dancers in the bunch.

I thought that the censors were standing by to bleep Bruno at any moment  ;)

But, I agree: this is the best group of dancers I've seen in quite some time.

He's only been around for ... oh -- 8 years. Talk about tardy-to-the-party. Plus you live in Little Hispania and I don't.

LOL yeah, it was a bit random, even for Mecchie. :)

Random is her routine. She starts her free association before she's finished reading the first sentence of a topic. Thinks it makes her sound profound. ::)
