Gee, sorry to bring it up too, but when I was like 8 or something some older kids (12, 13, don't know) kinda abused me too. I "allowed" it, but I really had no idea what that was. When I did realize it, I felt ashamed of myself. I do wonder as well if that influenced my sexual orientation, but who knows... I only know it did leave some emotional scars. But they were kids as well... I don't think they had any idea of the harm they were doing.

But yeah, sperm is fun. Except when it hits the eye. Ouch! ;D

Yeah that was well over 40 yr ago, I hardly even remember most of it, just the disgusting aspects of what cum smelled like , tasted like, it was so vile at that age, and everything @ that age it seemed a lot bigger than it really was....again doubt it really effected me being a queer tho...lol we all have our stories to tell, those of us who want to tell any of em, that is  ;)

When boys used to come over for sleepovers as a kid I would routinely make them take their clothes off at some point. I guess I am a rapist of sorts. Rapist-lite.

At some point nobody would come over for sleepovers. Well, except Greg. Greg loved them. No wonder he went into the military after college.

Well yeah, I had sleep-overs with all of my peers, male classmates, but nothing like that went on, I don't recall ever thinking of it, for that matter  :)

I haven't had poz-on-poz bareback sex, in well over 20 yrs. 1990 to be exact  :-[

I just had some fabulous poz-on-poz bareback sex yesterday! A really hot older bear/ daddy type. With a huge PA (my first time for that). Spent the afternoon going at it. Am I worried about reinfection? Fuck no. I'm on Truvada (among others) so I'm PrEPed to be good. Plus, I've read that reinfection mostly happens in the first few years of infection, and I've successfully passed the 3 year mark already! Woot!

Oh, yeah, Happy HIVersary to me on Jan. 9th!
01/09/09- diagnosed HIV+
01/16/09   CD4-425    22%  VL- 32,415

Reinfection happens to people either not on treatment or not adherent to their regimen (so far all reported cases have high viral loads). It doesn't have anything to do with a time limit.

I had poz-on-poz sex 2days ago and doing it again tomorrow. I'd be getting it even more if i was in the position to live with my boyfriend ;)

Im lost.  Could you please clarify - 1) what could happen - superinfection?
2) you took a few of what on?  new strains???   Then you had viral load spikes?  And 3) you scaled back --- what did you scale back? loads?
[/quote

Clarification:

1. Yes, I mean superinfection.

2. No, I was referring to a load or two since being on the meds as well as before hence the diagnosis.

3.  Meaning I stopped the behavior of risk.

Hope this is clarification enough, sorry if my verbiage was not precise and to the point in my original post.

 :)

Miss P - boys the same age getting naked with each other doesn't make anyone a rapist.  Even circle jerks, even sex, if its within the same age and consensual where is the problem?

I remember so many times curiosity got the best of us up to about 13.  13 was junior high and team sports and we all saw each other naked regularly so there was no longer a need for the naked sleep overs.  I still remember who had pubes and who didn't, and whose dick was already man sized, or so it seemed.

Pozzy, it still sounds like you are claiming to have had viral load spikes, due to taking loads, and while on meds.  So it seems you are claiming to be reinfected while being on meds.
I'm not buying this.  Based on what it seems you are saying, at least.

And how did you know you had viral spikes and they were the result of reinfections? If they were "back to normal" when you got your labs every 3 months....

Yeah, taking loads doesn't create a viral spike. And if he has "reinfection" then he's in a select club of maybe a couple dozen people documented.

It just doesn't add up, scientifically. That may well be what he assumes has happened. It's just not an event (series of events?) that science can back up in any real way.

viral load spikes come from improper viral suppression. It has nothing to do with coming into contact with infected semen.

if Pozzy is actually seeing a series of spikes (aka blips), it is possible that Pozzy is either
a) partially non-adherent to his HAART regimen, is developing resistance, and having viral breakthrough
b) or his regimen is not adequate in the first place and he having viral breakthrough.

in either case if Pozzy is having a series of viral load spikes (and not a one-off blip) across multiple tests (and if he's having proven multiple spikes, I would hope his doctor has been monitoring him more frequently than every 3 months), he and his doctor should be talking about having genotype and/or phenotype testing done to deteremine how his med regimen is inadequate (or how he has failed his med regimen adherence) and what needs to be done to correct the situation - before this current regimen totally fails

This would probably be the most accurate assessment of the situation.  I might also add that the spikes were very minor going up a very small amount and dropping.  I was having some issues with not taking the second dose .  when I was on Trizivir and it was decided that I would switch to a better regimen (Atripla).  I have only been taking Atripla for 3 months so it is new to me however I have been told that it is working very well and my next round of tests are next month.  I have also made some lifestyle changes by switching from a meat based diet to a plant based diet which should show very good numbers (hopefully) across the board.

I guess that means you won't be taking any more loads anytime soon then ;D

I have taken a few on and when the VL spiked I scaled back and everything returns to normal again by the time a new series of tests are performed

I might also add that the spikes were very minor going up a very small amount and dropping.
spikes (aka blips) usually are at least a log variance change (http://i-base.info/qa/faq/viral-load-converting-log-values-to-numbers). Also since "blips" can be lab error, it takes elevated test results over 2-3 tests to accurately account for a true "spiked" viral load.

if one was to have multiple "blips" or a continued elevated viral load over a period of time, a doctor should request geno/pheno type to see if resistance is the root issue (as sometimes simply more counseling about the neccesity for adherence can resolve the issue). These tests would also help determine which regimen would be effective to switch to if a switch was needed for either resistance issues or ease of dosing (to resolve the adherence issue)

I have also made some lifestyle changes by switching from a meat based diet to a plant based diet which should show very good numbers (hopefully) across the board.
really only HAART meds have an effect on viral load counts. and nothing (no meds, no diet, no supplements, no drugs) has an effect on cd4 counts. Your new diet might make you healthier but it won't do a thing for your VL or cd4 count, so don't expect much to come from going vegan. Expect the change to come from staying adherent to an effective medication. ;)

Yeah but you get spinach in your teeth.

Ah, so that's what that was. What a relief!

It seems that a few years ago in 2005, I believe, partner and I were at a club in Albuquerque called the Pride Gym.  Ummmm, I didn't notice work out equipment there.  The people that I saw there did not appear to be very concerned about becoming infected, re-infection or anything else.

Sorry, but I call that as a glass of milk. I've seen pictures of glasses of semen online and they don't look nearly that white and consistently colored/textured! Hot idea though!

Either that glassful came from a blue whale or like it's a year in the making so >yeuh< in both cases unless you are extremo weird, or it came from a cow/sheep/goat in which case make yoghurt.

OK, since y'all want to be technical.  Here's a mug fulla semen, courtesy of that banned episode of that stoopid show 'Fear Factor' (in case you didn't hear about it, the contestants were supposed to drink a glass of Donkey Spunk --all for a few seconds of fame and a chance to compete for some money).  One of the people who couldn't complete the task went to TMZ or something.
