I can't believe they let him into the country. Where are our sharp shooters when we need them?

Chavez does make for some entertaining moments, though.

I wonder if they have slept together yet (intimately)

Dachshund, don't get me started. War Crimes? ROFL, seems like you have freedom of speech. I would have dropped one bomb and got them all. No questions asked and it would have been a cheap war and over with.

This is certainly a case of one jackass braying about another.

 :D

big, fat ditto!

I thought it was hilarious, if for no other reason than to see the FOX news pundits heads nearly explode.  It was sort of like poking something icky with a stick.

I won't tell you how I feel about your "one bomb solves all philosophy" because it would lead to my first time out. As for our eroding civil liberties check back with me in about ten years. You need not worry about terrorists destroying our country...the destruction of America is happening from withen with you applauding.

Mr. Bush redefines torture and retroactively eliminates any chance that he can be prosecuted...not to protect us from terror, but to protect his sorry ass.

Bush is a war criminal and should be tried as such. I will now use my freedom to put you on ignore.

Peace

My nephew died for you to play and insult America and seeing how people like you act, makes me retch. One thing about it, if you don't like it, you can always hop a hijacked plane.

President Bush should serve out his term, as his mediocre mind and poor decision making will help to further doom the neocons in the upcoming elections.  As for Chavez, he is a self-aggrandizing buffoon in the mold of Mussolini and Kruschev.  As for his "I am a friend of the American people" - he should stick to patronizing his own people.

This is always your standard typical response. Death to everyone that doesn't agree with you...it has a certain jihadist ring to it.

As a Navy brat (my father retired with thirty years service to his country) my father instilled in me a deep love for my country and the Constitution. That is why it troubles me to see the present administration shredding it. That is what is insulting to America...not me. I am not going to trade insults and death wishes with you...but if that is all you got then go for it.

For the record my father was one of eight brothers...five who fought in WWII...one who did not return.

My father is proud of me for the courage of my convictions...so your "opinions" are of little consequence to me.

Guys, this is escalating into a not good place.

How about managing to disagree without wishing each other dead and like sorts of stuff?.

That kind of exchange goes nowhere good for anyone concerned. It's an indication of strong feelings but without much clarity about what it's really about even though you may "feel" it's very clear.

In any case, my request is that you ease up some.

Cheers,
Andy Velez

Hal,

Bush has come close to Impeachment so many times. Yes, he should be tried.

I don't like Chavez.  He's a fool and is too preoccupied with Bush.  He needs to focus on improving poverty and the gap between the rich and poor in Venzuela, instead of going around the world trying to bash Bush and America at every opportunity.  At some point the people of Venezuela are going to get tired of his antics and want to see progress.

I don't hate Bush.  I don't think he's evil.  I may not agree with all of his policies, but I do think he has done some good things.  I do like his tax cut on lower income brackets.  I do like the fact that he is the first Republican Administration to create a diverse cabinet.  I do like the money he has put up for AIDS globally.

But I don't like his conservative social policies (gay marriage, judicial selections, etc..), his restrictive AIDS policies and his spend now, worry about the debt later policies....

Overall I rank him as a lower than average President.  He wants to be all things, to all people (which is a prescription for a bloated, uncontrolled government and an increase in anxieties among the population).  But I don't hate him.

Chavez is a nut.  But Bush is a douchebag!  Not evil incarnate, but close.

in a pretty and well-preserved body, but, rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--WOW! WHAT A

Actually I rather like Chavez. He didn't have to get his brother to disenfranchise black voters to win his first election. As I've said previously, when Chavez mouths off about Bush, he's just playing to his electorate and the nations he relies on for support in his region. Also he has oil. Lots of oil. That must just burn Cheney's arse something fierce.

You know, it's called politics. But George wouldn't be into that sort of stuff now, would he?

This, however, is just too cute:

So what Cliff? No doubt Venezuala has problems but it strikes me as passing strange that Americans can give gratuitous advice about closing the gap between the rich and the poor. How many Americans don't have health insurance?

It's 46,000,000 isn't it?
