Bernie Sanders' proposal for a Health Impact Fund
« on: December 18, 2011, 12:21:35 PM »
I love Bernie Sanders for promoting progressive approaches to problems.  Below is a piece by him discussing how Atripla costs $200 annually per person to manufacture, but sells at a market price of over $20,000 per person.  He calls for challenging drug company monopolies, and has introduced legislation to create and $3 billion to create a Health Impact Fund, a concept that is being advocated by a growing group of influential policy people.  See the TED talk below about the Health Impact Fund below the Sanders' piece.
