Atripla Copay Assitance
« on: November 01, 2011, 04:06:58 PM »
My partner has been using an Atripla copay assitance card for the last couple of years.  It's a huge savings as our drug copay is $200 per med.

He went to renew the card and the company is saying that the card is only good for 12 months and can't be renewed. I don't understand this since he's been using it for more than a year and never had a problem in the past

Has anyone else run into this issue?

If so,  is there a workaround?

I hope not, I only have 2 more months before my 12 months is up.

I would call the assistance program and speak with someone else. I have two friends that have been on it for at least two years and never had a problem with renewing it from my knowledge.

You know, now that Complera is approved and Gilead submitted approval for the Quad pill I wonder if they are ending approval of Atripla assistance (after a year) with the intenet to get people moved over to one of their other treatments.

Their website does clearly state that the copay assistance program is only for one year:

"Enroll in the ATRIPLA Co-pay Assistance Program now and save on your monthly ATRIPLA prescriptions for a year"
