am I scaring myself?
« on: January 18, 2012, 10:21:32 AM »
Hi all,

I'm very happy to be able to find this forum and a lot of my questions has been answered. But just a few remained. It was about a year back when I wan having sexual intercourse with a CSW. After a few mins, I ejectulated and took my penis out.

To my surprise, the condom broke and the CSW looks really calm after seeing it. I proceed to wash myself up and left. I believe I was exposed to unproteced sex for around 2-3mins. I have not gotten myself checked as I do not have any symtoms of std or anything else.

My question would be, do you think I'm free of HIV? Considering that it is a low risk exposure. I'm a chinese male, circumsized.

Thank you for your time.

Have you test since it has been over a year? Get tested not only for HIV but other STDs as well.

No I have not tested myself since the exposure. Becasue I've read that std show symtoms at 2weeks and I'm feeling fine even after a year. I'm just rather concern about the hiv part.

Not all STDs show symptoms. If you are concerned about the HIV part why haven't you tested, that would have put your worries to bed.

Yes I know. But I'm just too scared to go take the test. Because I'm the kind of guy that would like to mentally prepare myself before doing anything. Leastt I couldent take the hit and die from heart attack or something.

Die of a heart attack? Harden up, princess. ::)

HIV is spread through unprotected anal or vaginal sex. Through sharing contaminated injecting equipment like needles and syringes and in some cases from HIV positive mother to her unborn or nursing baby.

As Rodney says, symptoms mean nothing. If you think the condom broke you should get tested.

The likelihood of you having contracted HIV from this encounter is almost certainly nil

Rapid tests are fine.
