attractive men
« on: September 18, 2006, 11:05:29 PM »
Lately, just about every man that crosses my path, I'm finding somewhat attractive?!.
Will this symptom subside once I start meds?

Consider yourself blessed. HIV meds are not likely to alter your perception, unless of course, Sustiva is in your regimen. Then those hunks may very well be crossing your dreams too. Enjoy the view while it lasts.

Well, my personal experience is that Sustiva sometimes DOES get men in your dreams...And not always properly dressed...

Geez Louise!

Damn, you youngins need to get a grip!  Cruisin good looking men never stops, unless you get yourself into a place of self loathing.  Just keep on looking and enjoying, 'cause I can tell you that after 11 years of medication, MEN are still beautiful and still make one rise when it is appropriate.  Hell, I am even now enjoying television more than I used to, but I can't for the life of me understand why.  In the "Military" town I currently live in, even a trip to Walmart is a feast for the eyes on a daily basis.  Never fear Paul, it will never go away, just maybe intensify.

In Love and appreciation for nice people.
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

Long, listen to me darling, put down the cocktail and walk OUT of the strip club!  There are PLENTY of ugly guys outside those doors, you just have to be brave enough to open them!  You can do it TIGER!

lol Iggy, (phone booth). Thankfully eyes are so good I can spot a hot man a mile away!! But I'm gonna have to go along with Cow. I believe my perspective is changing. If it had changed over a year ago, perhaps I wouldn't be here with you nice folks!!

Justa  bit about the strip club (we don't really have one here) . There is/was a dancer at our only bar here on Saturdays nights. 6'2", body from heaven, beatiful face, and a hungarian accent. When he wore his stripper boots, he and I were eye to eye. During my intial dark period after diagnosis, I developed a HUGE crush on this 'str8" man. We hung out while he was on break, played pool together, etc. At the time, believe it or not, this was all I had to look forward to. Silly I know. I almost quit a good friend (fag hag), after she told me one night I wasn't at the bar, that she had sex with him in his car. Broke my already fractured heart when she told me this, and I told her so. And I told him so. Stupid stuff, now back to reality please....lol

Forgive me for saying so but you sound HORNY to me.  Has it been a while since you've had sex?
And you don't really mean "every" man that comes across your path...do you?

def not every man, but JUST ABOUT every man seemingly has something I'm admiring-lol. Horniness for me is more an emotional state. I can j/o anytime, but haven't had love in 3 years, sex in many many many months. I think I'm looking at these men, and imagining that they could be my BF. And then there's the looking at some of them and wishing they were naked!

Hi Bear, yeah, I tried that already, went out with a really nice cutie a couple of times over the summer and we talked alot.  After a 2 week vacation which included a trip 'home', (note--not during, but after) he had some issues (pos guy). But then I decided it was ok because I'm dealing with a lot here, and what good is it to drag another guy into it right now. So , yeah, I could go find a nice guy, club him over the head, and drag him home, but thats not really nice!!

Seriously, I also was thinking that this time could be used to figure out who I am.

Seems like a tease to me, since I feel like I can never have sex again.  I'm sure this will change, but for now, I find my "member" of no earthly use.

sec...turning down my CD of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"

Anyway, I've lost, that lovin feelin', oh that lovin feelin'.  I long for the day when the UPS man delivering a package at my back door will have more meaning again.

If I wasn't such a nice guy, I'da clubbed me a hunky carpenter a few years a go. Got a big basement to keep him in, a big attic too!

Matt, I hit reply be4 I looked into your story. I'm sorry to hear you've temporarily lost it, and hope it comes back with a vengeance!

At this point, I'm not looking to have sex with anyone. When I'm ready I'm taking that real slow. Meanwhile j/o every other nite to keep the pipes clean!

Hmm. UPS man at the back door. I think Matt has just one-upped you, Longislander *evil grin*

Sex. Sex? Who said anything about sex? The most excitement is in the pursuit. In the most general of terms, of course!

I can now blame moffie for making me think that Rollback at Walmart is really about one's eyes in their sockets.

You kids!

The day I stop looking, and drooling, is the day they'll burn me.

Half the fun of life is scoping out the guys. And, by the way, shortsigtedness is a blessing. It can make even the most medocre fellows look hot at a distance.  8)

It keeps my juices flowing.

I know after David died I didn't even consider sex or dating or even whether this guy was cute or
that guy.  It's been almost two years now and I just began a relationship with a guy named Chuck.
Chuck and I don't have the "passion" that David and I had but at the same time  he and I share so
much more in common...

It's been a pleasure getting to know him and the smooching is definitely
a big plus.  We have sex but only occasionally when the "mood" hits both of us.  What I really enjoy
is his companionship and the little things he does to please me like rubbing my feet during a movie,
washing the dishes after I cook and scrubbing my back in the shower....Of course the BJ's are nice
too. :P  He told me last week he loved me and although I couldn't return the compliment, I do have
good feelings for him.

He's practically camped out at my house for the past two weeks and we get
along famously but whether or not love comes is anybody's guess.  I've tried to be very honest about
my feelings and he knows about David (his pictures and his presence are everywhere) but he's seems
content just to be near me.  God knows he's a great cuddler....and a great kisser :P

David, I would have to echo alot of your feelings about how sex has changed over the past year.   I would rather right now not have sex, I am just not in that frame of mind much.  But the companionship of William and everything that we do together.  It has not been an issue for us.  I hope that fire returns for me, but right now its just distant (its me)...  All of the cuddles, kisses and massages and just being together right now is enough for me...

Yeah, I know what you mean. Don't know what it is, Fall is here and my libido should be waning for the winter months but it's not. I live in a university town and the sight of all these young hot guys has me distracted half the time. I am horny ALL the time these days, my wanking average is way up...  :P

Well, I shouldn't complain; sex last night with one guy, and a couple of hours ago with another. And now I'm off to class.

Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

George Eliot, Middlemarch, final paragraph

I gotta say....I feel MUCH more into sex now than ever in my life.  I think it's all the exercise.

Bonus:  And i've become a whole lot more adventurous too!    Woohoo!   ;D

Take care,
John

Speaking of adventure ....

If I ever looked like that, I wouldn't ever have to leave the house  :o  I sure hope he does, though.

My "taste" changed after finding out I was poz. Now, a guy with a good heart drives me wild. He doesn't have to be buff. In fact, a little bit of squishy is appealing. I still find the buff man attractive, but if it's a choice between Buffo and the guy with some fat but a good heart, the heart wins. It's just that finding a guy with a good heart seems to be like trying to find a microscopic needle in a haystack the size of the Pacific Ocean.

That's not even considering whether or not he's ok with my being HIV+...

I am a walking hardon these days!!

Me too.  I think after the first month or so of shock, the drive returned.  Prozac tamed it a bit.  It's like a different route now, but still a fun trip!   ;)

Consider yourself blessed. HIV meds are not likely to alter your perception, unless of course, Sustiva is in your regimen. Then those hunks may very well be crossing your dreams too. Enjoy the view while it lasts.

Man, I wake up every morning with a boner. And I have some of the wierdest dreams, like me and 20 women at once going right down the line. I mean seriously, King Kong aint got SHIT on me in the mornings.

We must be twins, Sun. I have the same dream about their brothers.
