This was on our Baynews 9 home page today....

ST. PETERSBURG --

Police arrested a man who released several birds from cages at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve.

Blake Richard Riede, 21, was arrested after police said they received tips that led them to a video on YouTube, entitled "Saving some birds."

Investigators said Riede took the video as he vandalized the cages and let the birds free. Toward the end of the 50-minute video, Riede turned the camera on himself, which is how police said they were able to identify him.

The description of the video reads, "Eye intended to save these birds not kill them, as that is what the nature park is doing, keeping them cage, unable to hunt, unable to survive on their own in the wild."

The description also contains a link to the original story about the vandalism.

Police said 10 injured birds of prey were released from their cages on Sept. 21, and that many of the birds could not fly because their wings were injured.

All but three of the birds were found on Thursday. Two more were recovered later, but one, a red-shouldered hawk, is still missing.

Riede has been charged with commercial burglary and cruelty to animals.

I was curious on how to grow radishes. So I watched his "How to Grow Radishes" video and it is anything but a "how to" video. He spends 5 minutes counting his radish sprouts one-by-one(which are 70+ btw) then he gets distracted by a lizard. It was too painful to watch the remaining 13 minutes. I did however FF to the 11 minute mark and he is pulling weeds.

Yes, I hope he gets help.

He must have bought weed from the same guy that my friend Charles bought from when we were kids.  Charles ain't been the same since, tells everybody that his daddy is Harry Belafonte (sp?).
I despise the song Love is in the Air, you should too.
