Wedding
« on: September 17, 2006, 02:03:58 PM »
Yesterday my husband and I went to the wedding of my nurse coordinator. My ID Doctor was her maid of honor. And it was beautiful.

It helped me to remember life goes on with hiv, and that there is love, kindness, and acceptance in the world.

Sometimes I get so wrapped up in being sick, and not feeling well I forget that there is a world around me. I had a wonderful day yesterday.

Hi Christine

I'm glad you had a wonderful time...yes, life does go on..I have been to two weddings in the last year...two of my sons got married.

My grandmother always told me "only look back when you want to remember the good times..if you think of the bad it will only cast a cloud over the beauty of the things to come"

Hugs

Hi Val- No, no one fainted! It went very well.

Hi Jan- Your Grandmother was a very wise lady. That is very good advice which I know sometimes is hard to remember when the poz cloud is hanging over my head.

I know how hard it is sometimes Christine, there are days when that bloody cloud just keeps following us around...but we always manage to get through it don't we.

Wishing you clear skies.

Hugs

Hey Jan,

You missed the wedding in Montreal that you attended, but I guess that was a bit different as the two parties had been together for so very long anyway.  Just thought you might have forgotten already........   NOT!  ;)

Hey Christine, you now need to attend a gay wedding to really see some "BONDING".   Loved the mixup of the line, "To Love and Honor" which came out "To Love and Order".  Brought the whole room into uncontrolled laughter.

Just stopped in to read, but couldn't resist being a bit catty,  Tee Hee.......

In Love,
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

Tim,
I wish I could have been there for Ric and Thom's wedding. When you see people who love each other express that and commit to each other around friends and family, it makes the world seem right.

I am a sappy romantic....

christine, back when my fiance(whom i got the virus from) passed away and i was wandering around aimlessly wondering "who was going to want me now that i have hiv", i remember those feelings of helplessness, and pretty much used those feelings to beat myself up with booze. it wasn't until i met a psychgologist who helped me with guided cleansing meditations, that i became aware that there could be good days. if you have access to someone like that in your area, like a wellness center, see if you can find one who fits for you. i found mine 17 years ago & a new marriage and 4 grandchildren later i'm still having plenty of good days. stay positive in more ways than one. it works. kellyspoppi 8)
