i realize this may be off topic but i am watching the Terry Fox story on ctv and for anyone newly diagnosed you might find it inspiring.
nearly all of our miseries in life come from our false notions of what is actually happening to us, thus to judge an event sanely is a great step towards happiness.

Terry Fox was a determined young man. If his cancer hadn't returned in the middle of his cross-Canada run, he would have achieved his goal. Now others in countries around the world have taken up his cause with annual Terry Fox runs for cancer research. His dream lives on through them.
