Hello,

Im a researcher from the University of Nottingham, UK and Im looking for people with HIV to help me. Im interested in your experience of using forums such as this one, for support with your condition. There has been surprisingly little research describing the journey people take from joining a health forum, to becoming an established member and beyond, therefore I would really like to hear what you have to say about your own experiences.

The survey address is here if youd like to take a look: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/OSG1

Most of the questions are open-ended, so that means you can write as little or as much as youd like, and nearly all the questions are optional therefore its absolutely fine to just answer the questions that interest you and leave the rest.

As a thank you for your time you can choose to be entered into a prize draw to win 50 (or US $80) of Amazon Vouchers, just make sure you leave your e-mail address on the survey.

If you have any queries or would like a copy of the full FAQ then do please message or e-mail me on lwxeb5@nottingham.ac.uk

Thank You  :)

Eleanor Bennett

Please note that this request has been given approval to post by the forum moderator Tim Horn. In addition, the research has been granted ethical approval by the University of Nottingham, UK and is supervised by Dr Neil Coulson, a leading researcher in the use of the internet by people dealing with health issues.
