sounding off
« on: September 14, 2006, 02:44:05 PM »
Stopping by just to let off some frustration. I am tired working hard not feeling good not sleeping at night and now my %is good but concerned my T cells dropped.

I get these periods of time when the meds interupts my sleep and I am awake most of the night and this is night 6 for me. (and no it is not anything I am taking, actually stopped all forms of chemical and alcohol intake 1 year ago.) The lack of sleep I know is not good for my thinking and everything seems worse.

I am very tired at work and drained once I get home. I am pushing it at work because I have to.

With the two above I am at wits end and just frustrated and fatigued. Then I start thinking I am fatigued and my Tcells are going down even more. I know stop thinking base my thought on fact.

I am not having a poor me session just a bitch session to get it off my chest.

I go for another blood Test this month. I went last month and things were not what my Dr wanted them to be but was not alarmed and checking again to see whats up. Still everything OK it is in the back of my mind, wears me out.

I know I am just tired. I AM TIRED!

What does anyone out there do to just chill out but still meet the demands of work and kids. I meditate and chill when I get home but this is not right. I don't feel good!

Thanks for letting me bitch a while I don't like to be like this and I am not in person with anyone so just need to let it go, and this is a good place to do it.
Thanks Jeff

Personally, I like to toss things that make substantial noise upon breaking upon concrete. old glasses and plates were my most recent amunition. It is divine theerapy! In a pinch, a metal garbage can tossed hither and thither is also most gratifying. One thing is certain - getting it off one's chest is paramount!

I try to remain in a healthy frame of mind, but that doesn't mean I avoid the shit. When it comes to sleep, I've been rather lucky. I generally hit the pillow and fall unconscious within 5 minutes. When the odd interval of insomnia arrives, I get up and go do something until I feel sufficiently tired enough to retire.

Is it possible to get some support and understading from the people in your life: spouse, co-workers, supervisors, bartender or even kids?

I know you have cut out your chemical inclinations, but everything in moderation is an excellent remedy :)

HI Jeff sorry to hear you are having a bit if a rough time.  It sucks when you are tired and can not sleep.  Have you ever thought about a sleeping pill.  Ask your doc.  I have personally tried out several some work some didn't.  The one I find works the best is Lunesta,  I do not like that one because I get this taste in my mouth the next day but not everyone experience that.  The other one that works for me is Restoril.  See if doc will prescribe to you.  Because I am usually tired but my mind does not shut off.  Well good luck with everything.  I wish I could give you suggestions on meditation but I do not know how to it.  Well best wishes to you Rachel
