Bjork, Bjork, Bjork
« on: June 29, 2011, 05:58:31 PM »
hey guys, anyone else around in love with this amazing woman?

I am totally addicted to her music, and it's so fucking great what she wrote...
Even when I am in a fucked up mood, songs like It's in our hands, All is full of Love or Pagan Poetry are making me chill and realize that are some great things in this life worth living

There's too much confusion.

I read that Justin Timberlake adores her.  ::)

Her CD is gonna be super hi tech.  Hope its more pop than the last offerings.  Matthew Barney has not been a great influence on her art.

You probably know her best for her swan dress at the academy awards.  She was there for her movie "Dancer in the Dark" which is probably one of the saddest movies I've ever watched.

I think she could be recognised by hits, no?

Also:

(from wikipedia)
Additionally, Björk has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, one Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. For her performance in Dancer in the Dark, Björk won the Best Actress Award at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival.[5] She was ranked #36 on VH1's "The 100 Greatest Women in Rock and Roll"[6] and #8 on MTV's "22 Greatest Voices in Music".[7]

Well it's not like her music makes radio play very often.  I knew of her through MTV as a child because her videos were so outlandish.

Loved some songs...long time ago.

Live performances with endless  low-and-high-everything-is-music variatins...not my cup of tea.

For fans: I recoment Lars von Trear's movie "Dancer In the Dark".

Bjork's great, but seriously an acquired taste. I've not really enjoyed her latest offerings (the single "Earth Intruders" was alright, but the rest...).

Post and Homogenic are two of my absolute favourite albums. So, so different from the usual fare.

So many classsic tracks. "Play Dead", for example, is epic.

You probably know her best for her swan dress at the academy awards.  She was there for her movie "Dancer in the Dark" which is probably one of the saddest movies I've ever watched.
I felt like I'd been hit by a sledgehammer by the time I'd left the cinema! Such brilliant, sad music too. "I've seen it all" and "Scatterheart" get me everytime.
