what's your breaking point?
« on: May 03, 2011, 08:26:43 PM »
sorry if anyone expected something 'thought-provoking' due to the title lol
it's something my friends always comment on ( the prudes, virgins and such) that I have or like sex TOO much.
which I don't see ( really I don't ), I think I have ( HAD )a normal and healthy sex life. I never saw it strange specially since me and a friend from H.S would have about the same amount with our partners at the time.
but then again she's my female counterpart. . .  :-\
so just wondering what everyone thought was too much, just right, or not enough.

You are missing an option, so I will not be voting.  There is NEVA' enough sex.

when I have a stable partner (with 2 that made up nearly 20 yrs of my life), we usually tried to have sex every night with an occassional afternoon or two thrown in there each week. So I agree with the Rev - you don't have the correct amount of options in your poll. Might I suggest "unlimited" or "as much as possible"

Now that I'm 49 and "dating", it depends on what you're defining as "sex". A four hour afternoon romp consists of getting off 3-5 times. ;) sadly without a constant partner, there's just not enough chance for me to have sex daily right now (dammit!) so I usually have to take matters into my own hands. ;)

prudish people are always going to say that "any amount" of sex is too much; but really there is no such thing. The right amount of sex is how much you enjoy and how much you can get. The "complainers" are just jealous.  :D

Perhaps the sex drive is what determines sexual orientation?  If I hadn't hard a partner for close to 2 decades, I would surely have been the town tramp.  And the morning sex, always the greatest....ALWAYS!!

(Why do I have the feeling I was the one that inspired this thread...?)

Maybe there's something abnormal going on in my head, but I don't think I can even manage sex more than once or twice a week. Hell, I only jerk off about that much and I just turned 28 last week! I haven't had sex in over two years (early February 2009 if you want to be precise) and to be honest, I'm not bothered at all about it. I'm not above going down on someone at any time (or having someone go down on me, as has been the case as of late... ;)) but it's very, very rare that I do want to fuck someone and it's only because I really am into him on multiple levels.

Sounds like I'd be in good company with you, Dennis. ;)

Also... a vast majority of guys I know seem to want sex several times a week. It's very rare for me to meet someone whose libido is as low as mine. Klouny and I were texting earlier about this very subject, and I told him that I feel like I'm in the minority and that I'm not sexually compatible with most men. He says that I'm not, but I tend to desire less sex and more cuddling (and romance, I should add.) I dunno... like I said, it's very rare for me to fantasize about pegging someone, let alone actually want to do it.

Damn, now I'm wondering if having normal testosterone levels is working against me because after reading these responses, my ass should be broken into a zillion pieces (from lack of indulging)  ;D

Hey young one - there is no "too much" or "not enough" sex it's whatever feels right for you. If your straight buddies say you are oversexed, its a common jealousy and stereotype of straights about gays.  Just do what feels right.

Me too.  In my mind, I'd love to have sex once or twice a week.  In practice, it's been over 4 years.  There's some kind of disconnect between my body and my mind.

For me, it's different... I don't care all that much about having sex, but I'm more about romance. It's been just over 2 years for me. I honestly do think I could go the rest of my life without having sex anymore... *cue shock from audience*

Not so shocking.  Different people have different views on sex.  For some, like many of those who have responded here, it's about an act (fucking, sucking, etc.).  For others, like me, it's more about intimacy, closeness, intensity of shared experience -- maybe that's what you mean by romance, you'd have to elaborate on your view of that.  I'm sure there are other views too.  I do think that the predominant view in society for men both gay and straight is that sex is about fucking, and the more, the better.  If you don't identify with that, it can leave you wondering if you are compatible with anyone sexually.

intimacy can be problematic, so I do know what you mean by that, I too have that @ times, but at my age I don't care, I'm kinda past all of that, but, anyway, good luck to ya Buck, it's out there if you want it and your open to it  ;)

I can have sex with someone I dont love and it feels good, but it's more of a physical feel good.

I can't have sex with someone I don't love, or at least like a lot and feel close to.  Having done so in the past, I know it leaves me feeling horribly empty (it's hard to find the right words).  There's a part of me that has an envy for people who can just let go at the drop of a hat and have sex with someone they find attractive and enjoy themselves.

Buck, I like many of you here, I used to be like this in my 20s & 30s then I got too dam old after that, and wanted a lot more than just sex with just anyone  ;)

Ode On a Grecian Urn Full of Lube

There ya go.  I prefer Mediaeval Poesy, but any rhyme will do.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the pre and post-sex showers, the intense cuddling after copulating, and the deluxe breakfast that such tricks need to make for this here queen in the morning.

I'm also multi-tasking with Dirty Dancing on a 42" flat screen and eating some fried chicken.  Should I turn my web cam on too?

She's actually gonna put on a show using a certain toy vacuum while on a trapeze.  You don't wanna miss it.

Well Klouny did say he likes older men  ;)

To clarify. . . yes I do like older men  ;)

There's a part of me that has an envy for people who can just let go at the drop of a hat and have sex with someone they find attractive and enjoy themselves.

awe that's sweet. some of you here are some true love birds.
attraction, genuinely caring for someone in a deeper level ( aside from physical ) that just amplyfies the sexual intimacy and experience between partners. but all in all I love doing the nasty  :-*
