Southern mamas
« on: April 06, 2011, 08:19:37 PM »
As can be imagined, it's difficult to have to move back home and life with your mama.  She has been my rock through my illness and loss of Bill.  She really did love him  more than my own agony of self hatred and negativity.

She decided to join my brother and I for a latenight beverage knowing where it'd go.  I reverted back to my old self and was an ass with her.  I don't know why I do this with her and only have regrets the next day.  She recently returned from her Florida home and I was out of line.  She must have decided to go to his house as I haven't seen her yet this morning.  This must be a deep seeded issued that can't resolved within a few comments.

I have been such an ass and am not sure how to stop punishing those around me.  Anyways, that's just my morning concern.  They're not answering and I guess I need to drive over there.
Complacency is the enemy.  ;)  Challenge yourself daily for maximum  return on investment.

Greg, you only have 1 mother, and 1 family, they may not like you for who & what you are, but, never-the-less they're still your family, I only have a Twin-sister back in Nor-cal, we still speak every now & then, and she is still pissed off that Bob & I ran-off to New Mexico almost 9 yrs. ago, I think maybe she feels reasonable, but she's not
, I do enjoy torturing her w/ this every now & then  just to get her goat so to speak  ;D family is family  ;)

Oh my!

I dont know the sequence of events that led up to this exchange but would say to you that 'mama' still loves you even if your behavior was less than civil.  I think it would mean a great deal to her if you would (of course if you do) let her know that you love her too.

Mothers usually will put up with more crap from their children that children will from their mothers... northern, southern, western, you pick the region.  Has she returned to live in the midwest or is this just a visit?

Best!
