MSD launches Once a Day atripla like combination in India
« on: March 31, 2011, 08:08:52 AM »
Hey guyz,

MSD has launched a once a day combination of Tenofovir + Lamivudine + Efavirenz in India.

The price is approx 1800 Indian Rupees ie around US$ 45 for a months therapy !!!

Cheap Affordable and yet International standards of MSD.

Its rumored that Indian generics like Cipla, Ranbaxy, Emcure are gonna slash their prices accordingly.

India's seems to be the dewstination for both cheap original and cheap generic meds for HIV.

Thank for the information of the new combination drug by MSD. I am sure this will put pressure on Cipla, Emcure to further reduce on the cost of the drug and make it more affordable. I hope to see the cost of the drug to come down to about Rs.1000/- for less soon irrespective of any company.
