No idea, but I saw the red name reading this forum, but I have no clue who it is.

Paging Tim Horn, inquiring minds want to know who our new "goderator" is.  ;D

I never saw this user online until yesterday. And he/she has never posted. So mysterious!

We do not have any new moderators. If the name was in red, then it was one of the IT guys who have admin status so they can tinker with the nuts and bolts of the forums. They don't do any mod work.

Yep, Quendalon is one of the IT admin guys. Nothing to worry about!

Thanks Ann. I could have sworn it said "Moderator" when I looked yesterday. What's the difference between name in red and names in blue?

Names in blue (moderators or global moderators) can only do things like merge or move or delete posts, approve or reject new members applications, that sort of thing.

Names in red can do a bit more with the nuts and bolts of the forums, such as changing layouts and adding or removing sub-forums. It's kinda like moderators have keys to some cupboards and rooms in the house, but admin have keys to the whole house.

There are four moderators: Ann, Andy, David and myself.

There are five administrators: Ian, Andrej, Eric, Ann and myself. While administrators have moderating privileges and then some, rest assured, the only ones sending down lightening bolts here are the designated mods. Ian, Andrej and Eric are only involved on the IT level.

Nice to know the names of the folks who keep these forums running. Thanks for all of your hard work behind the scenes.
